If you don't buy the product or stop buying it, the tariffs mean nothing to you.
The point to the tariffs here is that they raise prices so high that most people here STOP buying the stuff then the source nation (China, etc.) suffers for a severe loss of exports which they cannot afford to lose, so they acquiesce and agree to import more exports from us then everyone benefits.

Or they can refuse, suffer huge economic problems and we find someone else to supply us or we make it here on our own.
Bottom line is that this causes everyone to migrate towards fairer trade.

The price of eggs will likely bottom out at some point in the next 2-4 years. We will no longer mandate flu vaccines. The vaccines, which are made from Eggs, will no longer be taken off the market so, as a result, the supply for the consumer will be high and the price will be low. Of course the deaths from preventable influenza is another matter. Not that the schools are going to be worth a shit under a wrestling promoter's leadership but entire classrooms are going to be infected.

I can't think of a single thing still not drastically more expensive than before Biden took office. Can you?
I still pay $3.00 for something that used to cost $2.00. 50% price increase.
I still pay $4.78 for something that I used to buy for $1.78. 170% price increase.

I find it funny that the left are all up in arms about some things which MIGHT cost more for a time under Trump (for a long term benefit to the nation) when they were fine these past four years with EVERYTHING costing an average of 40% more under Biden. Or have you already forgotten about this?

It does mean something, it means you used to be able to buy something at price X and now you can't. Now you gotta pay X+Y for the same thing or you don't buy it. Any way you slice it, that ain't good. Now you have to decide whether you just pay the higher price or go without or you find an alternative, something you didn't want to do before. Your choices got narrower, and that ain't good either. Sometimes it's raw materials used to make products here that are now more expensive.

Sometimes they decide to NOT import stuff from us, or they slap a tariff on our stuff exported to them and nobody benefits. Which I think is what happens most of the time.

Or they sell their stuff to someone else and do not suffer huge economic problems, and we find another source of supply but at a high price and/or lower quality. There were reasons why we wanted that imported stuff from them in the 1st place instead of from somewhere else. Instead of everyone benefits, everyone loses. History bears that out, no? Is that not what happened in the 1930s with the Smoot-Hawley laws, trade wars sprung up by the dozens and things got worse for everybody.

And there is also a reason why we don't make it here on our own, that generally comes down to it's more expensive.
