$2000 for each taxpaying adult, of which there are some 160ish million, would be approximately $320 billion.

Total tariff revenues for fiscal 2025 were around $175 billion. Which he has, BTW already promised to use to bail out farmers and various other things.

That math doesn't math.

This is just bullshit to make him look good for a minute or two.

Perhaps he has no choice. Progressives promote him as dreg every day. It is clear that many Americans are not very intelligent and/or in some group that is on perma victim. And the issues were/are serious. It is the people making out on those issues who do not deserve it where questions arise. So that money if it happens will cover the price increases in things.

So Trump will go directly to the people to give them a concrete demonstration of the gains from the tariffs he imposed.

The two G's will not being going to all 160ish million taxpayers, but it will be a big help to the working class and the working poor especially.
