I agree, it is my opinion. Opinions never make them so. It is what I observe.
I find idealogues on both sides of the political spectrum tend to be in lock step with their ideology. Without compromise it is hard to have a government that governs 330 million people. It is also impossible to have a discussion with someone who is not open to change.

“Compromise,” when it comes to negotiating the details of proposed legislation, isn’t always a bad thing. I believe we have reached a little bit of common ground there.

However, while a compromise on some details may be needed to achieve an agreement which can then be voted on is categorically different than a compromise of fundamental principles.
