Trump resolves global warming problem

Yep, I grew up in CA near SF. The very last thing we wanted to do was stay inside the house. We lived in a suburban neighborhood on the edge of undeveloped land. Our street had sidewalks that went up a hill and just stopped. From there it was our 'Adventure Land' with trees, seasonal creeks, etc. We rode our bikes about the same distance (5 miles) to our town. We made coasters to fly down the hills, had a killer rope swing too.

Ahhh, Baghdad by the Bay. One of my favorite quotes about that city that was never said was Mark Twain claiming that the coldest winter he ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.

I lived in that area for many years between 1990 and 2015, and never had air conditioning. When an exceptionally hot day in Vallejo is 80, no reason to have anything other than a fan. And even used to work in the FiDi, where even in the summer I normally wore a jacket.

A while back I was having a discussion with my cousin about how when we were kids in Oregon it was a lot cooler in the summer, and unlike kids today we all played outside. So when I asked her what year she was thinking about, she said 1977. So I went online right in front of her and looked.

The highest day in our city in 1977 was 107, last year it was 105. The coldest day in 1977 was 10, the coldest day in 2025 was 17. The average temperature in 1977 was 65.9, in 2025 it was 56. I pointed those all out to her, and she could not believe it. But I also pointed out that back then, we did not live in houses with air conditioning. And there was much less to do inside, so we spent most of our time outside.

I know in those days when I lived in Boise I thought nothing of riding my bike 5 miles each way to catch a movie in 100+ temperatures. The hottest day there in 1977 was 111, but last year it was only 104.

This is just a part of people trying to look back in their memories, and not actually checking the facts.

That's weather for 1977 ... did it rain any during summer of that year? ... didn't think so ...

The climate here on the West Coast doesn't have anything to do with temperature ... it's all about the summer dry season ... it can be 85º in San Diego, 65º in San Francisco, 45º in Seattle, 25º in Juneau and 5º in Nome ... all Mediterranean climates or Mediterranean-influenced climates under Köppen ... little or no summer rains in any of these places ... so we can't grow crops in summer without irrigation ...

Climate uses 100-year averages, minimum ... so no one single person lives long enough to experience any change to climate ...

I'm not privy to what he did to accomplish this, but its windy, frigid and snowing out.

The threat of global warming has been eradicated, thanks to Trump.

I think not
