Trump reign starting to go sour

You know Trump's presidency has started off great when pretty much all of his cabinet members are set within a month. Last term the bought and paid for kept trying to derail his cabinet picks. Now to get more done!

Obviously the die hard magas will never change but there seems to be unease among the base, That may be the start of trumps downfall. Normal people dont like this shit.

On top of is which his failing policies will further alienate people. He promised big but all he can deliver is cruelty and chaos.

Vulnerable GOP reps may find a spine.
Who did they boo more at this years Super Bowl you fucking moron?

My point was the stock market hated the tariffs so he backed them off. It bounced back when he backed off them. Lots of bad economic since has the markets skiddish.
He didn't back off on the tariffs because of the stock market...he backed off on them because both Canada and Mexico complied with his demands. What you don't want to admit is that the stock market immediately bounced back as soon it became obvious that the tariffs wouldn't be imposed.

Obviously you have no clue what is going on here in the US.
Trump and his DOGE team of geniuses is saving the US from the disastrous Biden administrations' crimes.
Trump has never had a higher poll rating, and its climbing.
Biden's 75% wrong track number is now Trump's positive number.
Watch the reconciliation Bill sail thru and Trump and Musk are locked and loaded for success.
If DOGE can cut $2T from Biden's bloated $7.3T Budget, we will have a balanced budget for the 1st time since Bill Clinton.
Yes... agreed... the putz has no clue about what is happening here in the US, and how people are feeling...

America has taken a hard turn to the Right after years of Leftist-Woke sissy policies that neither protect nor benefit Americans...

The UK could use a similar hard turn to the Right but they've bled themselves dry in the past century and now lack the strength.

Far too many Muslims and Hindus... far too few White Christians remaining to stop them... the U.K. is all but "gone" now...

Who did they boo more at this years Super Bowl you fucking moron?
I DARE Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, AOC, Adam Schiff or Liz Warren to go to a Super Bowl and allow their face to be shown on the Jumbo Tron. You'll NEVER see that happen because they know that they'd be booed so loudly it shake the rafters! :)

You're spreading a lie. According to the PEW poll, a full 90% of Republicans support Trump. The Georgia crowd was fake shills who NEVER voted for Trump.

"Dude" - you watch too much left media who are doing the exact same thing they did last Presidency - negative-negative-negative. And you swallow it down like a crack whore on a 3 day meth drought.

It's really simple. Tariffs are a tax on goods that come into the country, and we are an importer nation. I understand that MAGA thinks that tariffs will rebalance trade, which is possible -- if you have an administration that knows how to do it right. This one does not.

I was actually with Trump on trade & tariffs. But either he's not listening to people, or he's getting really bad advice on how to implement tariffs. Either way, he is causing inflation.

Kindly explain in what way Trump doesn't know how use tariffs, Multi? You keep making that claim with absolutely nothing to back it up.

It's quite apparent that Trump is willing to risk a little inflation if it means stopping the poisoning of America by Fentanyl. I'm rather curious to learn why you don't think that's a good idea.

Gladly.

If Trump were to say to Canada, Mexico, Europe, and (oh by the way), US markets, that we're going to selectively implement tariffs over time -- maybe 1-2% per month/every other month over the next 2 years up to about 20-25% by X date...that might actually work. That gives consumers and businesses time to react. That also doesn't force businesses who import to impose anticipatory price hikes.

I want to make this clear: I differ from my other fellow liberals/progs who reflexively say tariffs are evil. They are not. Alexander Hamilton, no less, proposed an economy based on protectionism, and protectionism (mercantilism) has probably been in place for the majority of our existence. I was Trump-curious on the issue of tariffs and particularly the issue of reshoring, especially when it came to critical infrastructure like medical supplies, military production, etc.

What I'm seeing is stupidity. The same kind of stupidity I saw in term one.

Do you not recognize that Trump actually doesn't want to implement tariffs? That he uses them as leverage? He threatens tariffs when other countries do things like allow illegals and drugs to flow through their borders into the United States. He threatens tariffs when other countries put tariffs on US goods. Those tariffs he proposes are THREATS! You make the threat and assume the other party is smart enough to understand that doing what Trump wants makes more sense than continuing what they were doing.

If he didn't want to implement tariffs, he wouldn't implement tariffs.

Bro, that makes total sense with respect to Mexico. I am with you on tariffs on Mexico.

But what the fuck did Canada do? And to be clear, Mexico ain't evil or nothing, but would agree with you and Trump, they could do more to stop the flow of migrants and drugs north. Using tariffs for statecraft with respect to Mexico does make sense. We do not disagree.

But Mexico's president Sheinbaum is working with us. Moreover, blanket tariffs? Canada? Europe? The whole world? Nah, it doesn't make sense. That's not Michael Corleone, that's Fredo.

Just so we're clear, I wish the Democratic party had done a lot more of this shit. Biden actually did impose export controls. I wish he had done some of the things MAGA has talked about. I mean going back to Obama and Clinton, really. There's a reason why they can't win in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Iowa, and Missouri.

But sorry, I call it like I see it. These tariffs are terrible. If you have connections to MAGA congressmen or the WH, tell them to re-think and make them more strategic.

Let's be honest here, Multi. Mexico is basically run by the Cartels and has been for years. The current President of Mexico was not working with us to secure the border because the Cartels were making Billions of dollars running drugs and illegals through Joe Biden's wide open border! The only way that changes is if someone takes on the Cartels. That someone is Donald Trump. It's Tom Homan. It's Kash Patel. It's Pam Bondi. It's Pete Hegseth. It's Tulsi Gabbard. We're at war with Narco-terrorists. Trump understands that and is willing to do what needs to be done to address it.

Cartels are a thing, but tariffs aren't solving that problem.

Why didn't he stop them when he was in office the first time?

The Cartels didn't control the border when Trump was in office the first time. That was something that Joe Biden did his first week in office.
Indeed. And how the Federal government will strike hard at the cartels, utilizing the US military; not just law enforcement.

The objective here will be to kill cartel chiefs and minions, to destroy production centers, and destroy channels of distribution.

That is the primary reason for declaring them to be foreign terrorist organizations; the silly current Mexican President notwithstanding.

If she has any brain cells she will cooperate with the US in this endeavor; that or get shoved rudely and quickly out of the way.

Make no mistake here, Kondor. Because of the money that the Cartels now have thanks to the Biden Administration and their willingness to bribe or kill anyone who doesn't play ball with them all the way up to the President of Mexico...she's in a very bad position. She'll need us to weaken the Cartels because to be frank they've become SO powerful over the last four years she can't do it by herself even if she wanted to!
