But Trumps popularity is tanking and there is no improvment in the economy. Most of his performative stuff seems mired in the courts.
He is running out of time to make a difference.

Trump's first priority is to secure the border and stem the tide of Fentanyl that has been killing hundreds of thousands of Americans. Pretty sad that you can't see that, Multi Man!

I will give credit to Trump for a decrease in border apprehensions, which is likely the result of decreased border traffic. I don't attribute that to tariffs, though, as much as just tougher promised enforcement and fewer opportunities for asylum.

We saw in November what voters thought of Joe Biden's inflation and grocery prices, the ultimate "survey".
If Trump can't make consumer's lives better they will go back to democrats in 2026 and 2028.
There is no "magic switch" to lower inflation without some pain.
When Trump signs the Budget, spending will go from $7.3T to about $6.1T, meaning less money sloshing around causing inflation. Then as Homan deports a few million illegals food "demand" should lessen. As USAID buys less US grain to export the cost of grain should drop. As Trump gets more drilling and oil to market, gas prices should drop.

Its a long term process that needs to happen by 2026 or Republicans lose the House and Trump's last two years will be another food fight.
