Trump proposes “joint venture” with Iran.

That's actually not a bad idea. Iran stands to lose the most from the Strait being shut down. They need the money and it shows that contrary to what they believe, Trump isn't a monster.
It also gives the US the opportunity to have a strong presence in the Persian Gulf, meaning we could pretty much control it.
Iran can control what tankers pass thru the Hormuz strait, but the US Navy controls if any Iranian oil gets past the Gulf of Oman.

Trump can seize the Iranian tankers like he seized Maduro's off VZ. A lot of leverage.

You can’t make this up.

President Donald Trump told ABC News on Wednesday morning that the U.S. may seek a "joint venture" with Iran to safeguard the Strait of Hormuz, following his Tuesday announcement of a two-week ceasefire.

"We're thinking of doing it as a joint venture. It's a way of securing it -- also securing it from lots of other people," Trump said when asked whether he would allow Tehran to charge tolls for shipping to transit the strategic waterway. "It's a beautiful thing," the president added.

This war was a disaster by every conceivable metric. Now Trump all but giving permission to Iran to charge tolls through the strait. Trump even calls tolls a “beautiful thing!” They did not impose tolls before the war. Hormuz was open, and now it is closed and Iran decides who passes and who doesn’t.

When will MAGA learn that Trump is a king…the king of fu** ups.
So what?

Fake news

President Trump: “there will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!

Meanwhile, over 70% of China's total operating fleet of automobiles and trucks are gasoline-powered and will remain so until at least 2030.

:laughing0301:
  • New Registration Mix (2025): New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) accounted for 49.38% of all new vehicle registrations, nearing parity with internal combustion vehicles.

  • Commercial Vehicle Share (2022/2023): Commercial vehicles (including trucks and buses) generally account for roughly 10%–13% of the total vehicle parc, with passenger vehicles making up the vast majority.

For total U.S. vehicles in operation (including passenger cars), 92% are gasoline/flex-fuel, while ~3.4% are diesel. Combined, gas and diesel account for over 95% of all vehicles on the road.

LMAOROG, Sure Dementia Don has plenty of options, NOT. Fukn thought he could play strongman with Iran after Greenland? lol

Iran needs to behave or none of their oil gets out of the Gulf of Oman.
Wow, you mean like a blockade of their economy?

Iran has faced intense economic sanctions and restrictions for over four decades,

Nothing like no oil revenue. The US Navy didn't seize their tankers did they? No they did not.
Iran can beat the JCPOA, but they can't beat Trump and the US Navy.

They are still building hundreds of new coal-fired power plants to keep up with demand and to ensure a reliable supply of electricity.

BUT TRYING

China is the world's undisputed leader in renewable energy, boasting over 2.34 terawatts (TW) of installed capacity by end-2025. It accounts for most global renewable investment, with wind and solar power becoming the primary new energy sources, often exceeding total capacity of the rest of the world combined

Sure, Syria and Iraq says stuff it :laughing0301:

Being militarily strong (bully) doesn't generally win in the world, especially with fanatics

We were discussing how to bypass the straight.

Which is an issue because it forces you into Iranian waters....as I understand it.

If you had a pipeline that kept you out of their waters and Iran attacked it, that would be an act of war and they'd be crushed.
Like...they did with Saudi Arabia today?

China dominates manufacturing of solar panels, batteries and EVs yet is continuing to build new coal-fired power plants because solar is intermittent and cannot sustain constant energy need requirements. The sell their solar panels all around the world and don't use all they build anyway.

China should be a lesson to all the 'greenies' who think the world can sustain their electrical grids on so-called 'renewable' energy. The term 'renewable' is also fake because these solar panels and windmills have to be constantly replaced and the old vanes and panels have to be trashed.

LMAOROG, They use coal because they are a growing economy, but you ever hear about batteries?

A lot of the ships are Chinese...

Is US going to seize Chinese oil because they can get through the strait....

Why can't 'renewables' support a growing economy? Why do you give China a pass on new coal plants, after all America is a growing economy too.

No one is saying a sudden switch...

Grind in EU and China are moving away from Coal and Gas and on to Renewables...

Denmark are the ones leading at the moment

They have come along way in 25 years...

Denmark's EV market is booming, with battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) accounting for 68.5% of new passenger car registrations in 2025 and over 94% of private car purchases in February 2026.

Denmark is less reliant on oil... Their economy will be much stronger for having cheap Wind energy.
