Trump went after another low hanging member of the DNC tree to convert him over to being a republican or some other angle he has.
 
Trump is really going after Biden's corrupt DOJ.

I suspect if the vile dems ever see the inside of the WH again they will pardon any convictions Trump's DOJ gets.

guess trump doesn't distinguish between Rs and Ds.

The umpteenth example (this week) of why we need to get rid of the Presidential Pardon. I’ve listed my opposition to it many times so I’ll point out something new here.

Cuellar, Strawberry,the Qanon Shaman dude.....if the blob really thinks they didn’t do anything wrong....were they any less guilty yesterday or the day before than they are now?

If someones sentence is commuted by any president, are they any less guilty?
 
Tried and convicted by a jury of his peers BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT. The Azerbaijan government reached out to Trump on his behalf.

The court documents presented to the jury showed that in December 2014 through November 2021, Cuellar and his wife, Imelda Cuellar, accepted bribes from an oil and gas company owned by the government of Azerbaijan as well as a bank headquartered in Mexico City.

The statement from DOJ officials showed that the payments were laundered by front companies and middlemen into shell companies owned by Cuellar’s wife “who performed little to no legitimate work under the contracts.”

Justice Department investigators said that in exchange, Cuellar agreed to use his position as a lawmaker to give preferential foreign policy treatment to Azerbaijan. Cuellar also allegedly agreed to influence executive branch officials to help the Mexico City bank in exchange for those separate payments.

Now pardoned beyond a reasonable doubt. Pretty cut and dried....

Article II, Section 2, Clause 1:

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.
 
So how to we deal with pardon abuse going forward?

Extensive investigations to determine if there is a quid pro quo?

The President can legally pardon criminals that laundered money from Russian satellites if he wants to but it is immoral and crooked.

Well if you have such a large ***** about this, there's many other presidents who have done similar things pardoning.
