I knew this would go badly.....Trump slams Rep. Cuellar for running again as a Democrat after pardon

if the shoe fits.....

shallow?

pointing out the system needs changed, updated, is shallow?
As I said, and correctly so, the problem with invoking the whole ''they all do it'' line is that this line is most often invoked to solicit the illusion of justification and acceptance/legitimacy of it.

And, yes, that's very shallow thinking. They're weasel words, actually because invoking the ''they all do it'' line does nothing but encourage and normalize acceptance of it, observably.

How many times a day on here do we observe some red blip telling a blue blip ''well you didn't say anything when the blue blips did whatever it is that the red blips might currently doing.''

How many times a day do we see some blue blip telling a red blip ''well you didn't say anything when the red blips did whatever it is that the blue blips might currently doing.''

All this really does is serve as justification for whatever nutsackery 'it'' happens to be in the moment because ''they all do it'' becomes normalized and in effect becomes accepted behavior.

"It's just politics'' they say. Heh heh...

You're free to disagree. But I'm correct. We see it here every single day about something.

I think some people just don't want or like to hear the truth.

Personally I think it's a planned 'fued". Cellar is more blue dog than radical whackjob. A 'fued' with Trump gives him instant street cred. 3d chess stuff.

Maybe Cueller can't win as a republican, so he has to run as a democrap. Once he is in office he doesn't have to vote like a democrap. It would be poetic justice to have him always vote with the GOP instead.

Meh? IDGAF. How's that hypocrisy working for you? You're all for pardoning one criminal that is going to steal from taxpayers but you're completely opposed to pardoning another criminal that will probably be dealt with more severely in his own country at no expense to American taxpayers. LMFAO.
LMAO! Are you now claiming Trump pardoned his drug running buddy so he could be shipped back to Honduras to face the accountability that this Country aready got at trial & where he was convicted?

Oh, btw. Trump claimed Hernandez was set up by Biden & arrested because he's a politician. Soooo, which is it, genius?

President Trump slammed Rep. Henry Cuellar on Sunday for what he called "a lack of loyalty" because the Democratic congressman announced his plans to run again as a Democrat, rather than switch to the Republican party, in his next bid to represent Texas in the U.S. House.

In a social media post, Mr. Trump suggested that he may have expected Cuellar to help Republicans maintain their slim majority in the House during the 2026 midterm elections after the congressman was granted clemency.

Trump recently pardoned him and his wife, Imelda Cuellar, who were both indicted last year on federal bribery charges. Their two daughters, Christina and Catherine, had sent Mr. Trump a letter in November asking that he pardon their parents.

The president claimed the allegations against them resulted from political targeting by the Justice Department under former President Joe Biden, writing in multiple Truth Social posts about attacks on Cuellar from within the Democratic Party over his views on immigration and border security.

I mean, what did Trump think was going to happen? :eusa_wall:

Never-ever trust a dem not to (figuratively) shank you in the ribs after they are cut a break.

I sure did not vote for that particular pardon.
Well, the guy is saying that Biden and the dems weaponized the DOJ against him. The more that word gets out the better.

And that makes him different from any other politician in either party how?
You have to realize that democrap voters think their politicians wake up every day and ask themselves "How can I benefit the American people today?" and then go to their offices and spend the whole day working tirelessly for the working middle class. Not one of them is corrupt, has ever told a lie, and none have ever broken a law.

That is true.

Hank and I are the same age, so he remembers Gov. Ann Richards. Leopards and true democrats don't change their spots.

A lot of democrats dislike Cuellar. I worked with a flaming liberal electrician of Mexican descent in the early 2000s and he called Cuellar a 'pocho' Roughly translated, it is a Mexican who forgot where he came from.
That's the same thing as a sellout. But you guys love blacks who forget where they came from, just as long as they help push the MAGA white nationalist agenda.

The problem with the whole ''they all do it'' line is that this line is most often invoked to solicit the illusion of justification and acceptance/legitimacy of it.

Same thing applies whenever we see the red blips say ''well you didn't complain or say anything when the blue blips did it'' or whenever we see the blue blips say ''well you didn't complain or say anything when the red blips did it.''

''It'' being whatever the corruption, malfeasance or whatever other nutsackery of the day might be on the table for debate.

That, unfortunately, is the shallow mentality with which we're faced when dealing with this modern, programmed electorate.
Actually it goes further than that. Since it's that, and the fact that whatever behavior they point to usually doesn't really resembles the behavior they're justifying all that closely.

Like in this case. Biden, or Obama, or, whomever pardoned someone out of some form of loyalty to a person. At the end of their term. Therefore Trump can blatantly pardon thousands of people because of some form of loyalty, and it's all good. Because you know... Hunter Biden got pardoned. Never mind that he's openly all but saying that he's pardoning people who did stuff like beat up cops for him. Committed election fraud for him. Probably (and this is an educated guess) put money in his cryptocurrency.

It's all the same thing.

Trump can openly say that he wants people prosecuted. And that's all good because Trump got indicted and convicted over actual crimes.
