Trump pardons Henry Cuellar

So how to we deal with pardon abuse going forward?

Extensive investigations to determine if there is a quid pro quo?
This is where the USSC decision granting absolute immunity for all constitutional presidential acts.
Such as pardons.

Nixon responded thusly: “When the president does it, that means it's not illegal.”

Granting pardons, even without immunity, isn't a prosecutable offense. Try again.

That was because Trump promised retribution

As we saw when Trump ordered the prosecution of his enemies.

Trump wasn't POTUS then

You're floundering bigly

I've already said this pardon business is sketchy but I'm willing to see both sides, evidently you can't

No that was because David Weiss had other investigations in the works when the absolute pardon was made. Weiss even made some comments about it.

Lets see those clowns come out dissing Trump for pardoning one of their own.

You are completely clueless.

Trump already did that with Adams, who Democrats rejected for his corrupt scandals.

Trump is not ideological or partisan in his corrupt kleptocratic schemes and is fully ready to abuse his office to make a loyal ***** out of whatever criminal comes to kiss his ring.

How about today, now, capeesh?

Yes today, now, Trump is getting slammed for abusing his office yet again to pardon a convicted criminal.

Criminal happening to be a Democrat has no relevance, because unlike you TDS MAGAs, Democrats still have some semblance of principles.

Biden issued the pardons after Trump was re-elected and able to start his "retribution" against his enemies.

When somebody promises to weaponize the DOJ against you, the pardon is the only shield he had.

Trump’s campaign of retribution:
At least 470 targets and counting

In his second term, Donald Trump has turned a campaign pledge to punish political opponents into a guiding principle of governance.

What began as a provocative rallying cry in March 2023 – “I am your retribution” – has hardened into a sweeping campaign of retaliation against perceived enemies, reshaping federal policy, staffing and law enforcement.

It doesn't matter when Biden issued them (although I doubt he did)

His administration did it because they knew the pos of shit crackhead could link to his senile fool of a bad dad

Pardon power is a constitutional function. Bed wetting not allowed.

Ahh........investigating for possible past criminal actions isn't retribution.......ask Bob Mueller. And the dems overplayed their hands in that department for sure. It's only fun when the left does it.......

Do you think Biden should have pardoned Hunter? Along with dozens of others?

You can't whine about one without whining about the other

The White House was also built as a residence for the president. Not something he could turn into a gilded cage.
