Trump orders homeless evictions in DC

These are almost exclusively drug addicts. I work in DC and live next door. The pot stench is incessant. Imagine being a tourist and this is what your kids are subjected to. No excuse. These homeless drug addicts should have been removed long ago.
We should have listened to Nancy Reagan before there were so many drug zombies to deal with

I live in the suburbs. Everywhere I go it's there. Grocery, shopping in general, everywhere. Even driving down the street, even on the highway at 70.

She made me give up fried eggs.

That means THC is prevalent in the breathing air. Disgusting and hypocritical. Can’t smoke a cigarette but THC is OK.
The culture is f*cked. Thank a democrat.

I’ve been trying to point that out to resident potheads.
Pot advocates are the most misinformed group-thinkers of all time. Right up there with democrat voters.
We went to a relatives for a lightweight birthday party. They smoke like a chimney. The house stinks so bad, you can smell it 15 feet from the door. Took our coats off for the 2+ hours there. Left, stopped at a store, I came out and it smelled like someone had just smoked a bowl. She couldn't tell still in the car. I realized if I got pulled over, they'd search the car and it would be a splendid afternoon.
We never went back.

In this video a Trump supporter expresses skepticism over the long-term result of deploying federal police and NG

Why?

Because the primary reason we have homeless people living on the streets is drug addiction and/or mental health issues

They need to be locked up and forced to confront their personal problems before real change takes place

Otherwise we are just playing Whack-a-Mole

Load 'em up and take 'em to Baltimore. They've got all these big beautiful blue cities issues handled.

They say Antarctica is beautiful this time of year

This will probably help:

Relatively unspoiled, I'd hate to see it turned into an open sewer.
But pending flights to the moon, its my preferred location for drug zombie street people

Trump shows what a great Christian he is, along with the OP....
Of your endless stream of meaningless replies to the posts of other people, this one is a sterling example of how shallow and worthless yours are.

Should all the homeless people living “on the street” because of drug addiction or mental health problems be consigned to just like bing that existence? Or should they not be gathered up off the streets and placed in mental health or institutionalized drug addiction programs?

Beyond helping them, it would also help the regular residents of the towns and cities avoid having aggressive and often dangerous pan handlers ruin the quality of life for them. Win win.

The objections mainly come from libs who so value the “right to be left alone” for these homeless people that they obstruct any effort to institutionalize them to get help.

And the objections also include claims like “but we don’t have enough ‘beds’ for all such homeless victims of drug addiction or mental health problems.” I believe those latter objections are more genuine and supportable on a factual basis.

So, if that’s the problem, let’s fix it. It may take time, money and resources. But in this case I don’t think the latter objection can’t be properly overcome. (Not overnight of course. But we aren’t without methods for attending to it, anyway.)

Putting DC aside, homelessness is a state issue and should be dealt with as such. Leaving the problem to cities is about as stupid as one can be.
