Trump now immune from IRS investigation

Provide some facts….. keeping in mind someone at the IRS leaked Trump’s tax returns. Do you mind if the IRS leaks your tax returns?
Cornholio doesn't do facts.

Just sayin...

Not much of a deal when his taxes were released without authorization. Do you think government employees and contractors have the right or privilege to be releasing such information?
Not at all and I said so at the time.

My question to you is this...the other hundred thousand people who had their stuff released...shouldn't they get the same deal where you can't audit them?

Trump is as crooked as they come and doesn't deserve a penny.

It was an outside contractor, NOT an IRS employee, and he stole vastly more than just Donald Trump’s tax information.

Here are the specific details of what happened:
Who Leaked the Information?

The leaker was Charles Edward Littlejohn. He was not a direct employee of the IRS; he was a tech contractor working for Booz Allen Hamilton, a major defense and technology consulting firm that held contracts with the IRS.

Federal prosecutors later revealed that Littlejohn actually sought out and took the contracting job with the specific, politically motivated intent of gaining access to Trump's tax returns to leak them to the media. He was caught, pleaded guilty, and in January 2024, he was sentenced to the maximum five years in federal prison.

Did He Leak More Than Just Trump's Taxes?

Yes, by an enormous margin. This has been described as the largest data breach in IRS history.

The Scope: While initial reports estimated he took data from a few thousand wealthy people, the IRS later disclosed to Congress that Littlejohn stole and leaked the confidential tax data of 405,427 taxpayers.

Who Was Targeted: Roughly 89% of those records belonged to business entities, but the breach also targeted 15 years of tax records for the highest-net-worth individuals in the United States.

The Media Outlets: Littlejohn split his stolen data between two major news organizations:
The New York Times received Donald Trump's tax information (which they published in 2020).

ProPublica received the massive trove of data regarding America's wealthiest billionaires—including Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk—which they used for a 2021 series exposing how little the ultra-wealthy pay in federal income taxes.

The IRS has since stated that they found no evidence Littlejohn distributed the data anywhere else online or that it was used for identity theft, as his sole motivation was getting the data to the press.

Trump thinks he is above the law and wants to start a family dynasty.

Sure, make him and his family exempt from all taxation and generational wealth is assured.

MAGAs may be fine with being serfs, but for the rest of freedom loving Americans we will never surrender to to being serfs to the Trump family.
Trump thinks, you don't.

Isn't this nice? It looks like part of the deal of dropping the suit is he can't be investigated by the IRS, him nor any of his companies.

I guess when you are investigating him solely because you don't like him, it's known as lawfare and will fall apart as soon as a Trump friendly DOJ takes over.
/—-/ Yes, it’s very nice. Thanks for posting.

So Trump sues his own Administration,
Then as the Boss has his personal defense attorney who just now is Acting AG,
Settles the the lawsuit with two clauses:
  • Establish a $1.8 Billion dollar slush fund that Trump controls (through his AG and his ability to fire any board member without cause).
  • But wait the agreement says Trump can't get an award from the fund.
  • But wait, part of the agreement is that Trump be audited, fined, or prosecuted for any prior tax infractions/crimes.
  • OK, that's more than 2, shoot me.
So what is Trump's payoff? $100,000,000 in possible tax liability due to an IRS audit of Trump's business practices spertainign to a project in Chicago.
