Trump Now Gets a $1.8BN Taxpayer Slush Fund to Pay Others

That gives him NO legal authority over this.
Of course it does. DOJ is under the executive branch whise power is vested in "a President of the United States."

Very likely Trump's successor will be whoever Trump endorses. Unless the voters hate this move. Then the can express their dipleasure in November 2026 and 2027.

Reduced to editing my posts. Sad.

We're done.
I wouldn’t have to remind you of what you said if you wouldn’t have lied about it.

However, I can stop you from running away as is the case when your attempt at creating an argument fails.

You made a mistake you often do, repeating the bullshit lines from the Trump administration without checking. These people make you look foolish.

This allows Trump to dish out taxpayer money to anyone he wants without any oversight.

Oh, and he’s totally unaccountable because he has immunity thanks to SCOTUS.

He's the second to the top of the accountability pyramid, with voters being the very top.

Don't blame that your party picked a candidate virtually guaranteed to lose in '24.

Even your ballot harvestors stayed home. The registered voters in the old folks homes, the rehabs and the mental wards must be wondering why they were forgotten.

How can voters hold Trump accountable?

How can voters hold Trump accountable?
Very easily! Easy to explain, I should say.

Vote in November for representatives who run on impeaching Trump for setting up this fund and for Senators who promise to convict.

Based on what happened to Senator Cassidy a few days ago and what will likely happen to Massie tomorrow, you will have a tough sell, but that is how it is done.

So future presidents can sue the US for perceived damages and then force the DOJ to settle and the settlement will not have to be seen or approved by a judge.

What makes you believe that no judge was involved?

This is what happens when the Democrats use lawfare and the American People respond by stripping them of power.

Dupe

Wow.

Crazy.

"The IRS apologized for the unlawful targeting based on political affiliation."

But this NEVER HAPPENS, I THOUGHT!!!
And of course the board leftists first response is that Trump has a slush fund---never mind that it was democrat illegal acts that led to the decision. Great outcome but it should have been much higher.

"Trump’s attorneys suggested in their court filing seeking to dismiss the case that the resolution would not be reviewable by a judge. But a group of 93 members of Congress filed a brief teeing up a challenge."

why did the IRS apologize for targeting conservative groups ?
Trumps IRS did that for something that happened under Obama. There was no crime for selecting applications for verification of groups who file for tax exempt status. Thanks to CU they were flooded with applications and couldn't verify them all so they had to select a group of them. Instead of just randomly selecting a certain percent out of all the applications, they focused on and singled out ones with politically sounding names. Not a crime by statute, only the appearance of impropriety back then was enough. Today? That's nothing.

Nah, Just to mock the ridiculous arguments you make, driven by your TDS. It's funny AF.

On other media as well, but this one is not behind a paywall. The Trump run DOJ has awarded Trump a $1.8Bn settlement fund as part of his dropping his case against the US Government.

DoJ confirms $1.8B 'lawfare' fund as part of IRS deal

The United States Department of Justice announced on Monday that acting US Attorney General Todd Blanche (pictured) created "The Anti-Weaponization Fund," which will receive $1.8 billion from the judgment fund to "provide a systematic process to hear and redress claims of others who suffered weaponization and lawfare." The establishment of the fund was part of US President Donald Trump's settlement agreement to drop his $10 billion lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The fund will be authorized to issue formal apologies and provide financial compensation to claimants, with any remaining funds after the program ends reverting to the federal government. Filing a claim will be voluntary, with no partisan criteria required for eligibility, and the fund will also submit quarterly reports to the attorney general detailing recipients and the type of relief granted. It will also be subject to audits at the attorney general's direction.
So the wannabe attorney general that is also Trumps personal lawyer will steal money from US citizens to pay cop killers?

Interesting.

So what’s going to happen when Trump dies in prison when a Democrat puts him there in 2029?
