The state can’t force you to believe something any more than I can. Belief isn’t enforceable; only behavior is. Accusing others of “force” doesn’t change that. And thanks for the name-calling, it really just reinforces how little actual argument you’re offering.Oh you guys are talking about force just now you have to hide it with the fickle whims of the mob.
No, what you want is for the State to force me to believe something that is bullshit, despite your protests to the contrary. You are a liar.
You also aren’t talking to “you guys.” You’re talking to me. Framing this as some coordinated group demanding obedience is just another way of avoiding what’s actually being said.
The irony here is that you seem to think freedom of speech means your statements should be consequence-free. That’s not how it works. You’re free to say whatever you want. Other people are equally free to disagree, criticize, or decide they don’t want to associate with you. None of that is coercion, and none of it is the state forcing belief.
At this point we’re no longer having a substantive discussion. You’re asserting coercion where none exists, substituting accusations for arguments, and refusing to distinguish between belief, law, and social response. I’ve laid out my position clearly. If you want to engage with what I actually said rather than inventing force or imputing motives, feel free. Otherwise, I’m done here.
