Trump loses Again

Which does not apply to this Columbia student. You have no case.
Actually, I do.

8 U.S.C. § 1227 (INA Section 237(a))
  • Criminal Offenses (INA § 237(a)(2)):
    • General Crimes (237(a)(2)(A)): A green card holder is deportable if convicted of a "crime involving moral turpitude" (CIMT) within five years of admission (or ten years in some cases), if the crime carries a potential sentence of one year or more. This includes offenses like theft, fraud, or certain violent crimes. Multiple CIMT convictions at any time after admission, if not arising from a single scheme, also trigger deportability.
    • Aggravated Felonies (237(a)(2)(A)(iii)): Conviction of an aggravated felony—such as murder, rape, drug trafficking, or certain firearms offenses—makes an LPR deportable at any time after admission, no matter how long they’ve been in the U.S.
    • Controlled Substances (237(a)(2)(B)): Any conviction for violating laws related to controlled substances (except a single offense of possessing 30 grams or less of marijuana for personal use) renders an LPR deportable.
    • Domestic Violence and Related Crimes (237(a)(2)(E)): Convictions for domestic violence, stalking, child abuse, or violating protection orders can lead to deportation.
  • Security and Related Grounds (INA § 237(a)(4)):
    • If the Attorney General or Secretary of Homeland Security has reasonable grounds to believe an LPR has engaged in activities like espionage, sabotage, or terrorism—or if their presence poses a national security risk—they can be deemed deportable. This doesn’t require a criminal conviction, just credible evidence of involvement.
  • Other Violations:
    • Document Fraud (237(a)(3)(C)): Convictions for forging or misusing immigration documents can trigger deportation.
    • Failure to Register (237(a)(3)(A)): Not complying with alien registration requirements under INA § 262 (8 U.S.C. § 1302) can also apply, though this is less common for LPRs who are typically already registered.

Trump is signing orders and losing cases. The judge ruled against his freeze of USAID. A judge ruled that Trump can't deport a Palestinian protester. Judge stopped Trump from cutting dollars for teacher training. Judge blocks Trump's order attempting to end birthright citizenship. Judge has ruled that DOGE must release records on its operations. Gwen Wilcox, Chair of the NLRB, who was fired illegally because Trump is ignorant about DEI got reinstated. Trump is losing. MAGA is losing.

It’s like trying to hold back the tide with a blanket.

Trump is doing tremendous harm and these cases only slow him slightly.

People need to get riled up and call their REPUBLICAN congressmen and put the fear of God in them

Trump is blocked again.

Federal Judge Deals Donald Trump Legal Blow on Executive Order

A federal judge on Wednesday blocked the Trump administration from enforcing parts of an executive order aimed at punishing Perkins Coie, a prominent law firm linked to Democratic-funded opposition research during the 2016 presidential campaign into Donald Trump's ties to Russia.

Why It Matters

After returning to the White House in January, President Donald Trump signed a flurry of executive orders, including one targeting the law firm, alleging "dishonest and dangerous activity." The order blocked security clearances for lawyers at Perkins Coie, which has said it is dealing with the financial consequences of the decision.

Many of Trump's executive orders, aimed at enacting his sweeping agenda on issues ranging from immigration to reshaping the federal bureaucracy, are facing legal challenges that are yielding mixed results for the president.

What To Know

U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell, granting a temporary restraining order, sided with Perkins Coie just one day after the firm filed a federal lawsuit alleging it was being illegally targeted for its work. Howell ruled that the executive order could have a chilling effect on the legal profession, warning that it suggests lawyers can be punished for representing clients or holding views unfavorable to the administration.

"Such a circumstance threatens the very foundation of our legal system," Howell wrote. "Our justice system is based on the fundamental belief that justice works best when all parties have zealous advocates."

If a Democrat tried this Mike Johnson would have started impeachment proceedings.

What does SCOTUS have to do with Trump's violations of the constitution? Oh wait, you think that because SCOTUS says he has immunity for all official acts, that means that he's not violating the constitutional rights of others in some cases when he engages in behavior that is not lawful?

An executive order cannot create new law, cannot rescind existing law, and does not grant the U.S. president the power to violate the U.S. Constitution—regardless of the latest Supreme Court ruling.

Despite what Trump seems to believe, this ruling does not mean he can do whatever he wants, ignoring laws and constitutional protections.
Too many words, bro. It's still opinion.

This article doesn't tell the story. Here is the truth. As I told you earlier, the Supreme Court's ruling did not apply to all student loans. --

Although the Supreme Court struck down President Joe Biden’s signature student loan forgiveness program in late June, his administration has found ways to cancel more than $48 billion in debt since then.

The cancellations have come through existing federal student loan forgiveness programs, which are limited to specific categories of borrowers, such as public-sector workers, people defrauded by for-profit colleges, and borrowers who have paid for at least 20 years.

These programs are separate from the rejected forgiveness plan, which would have canceled about $430 billion of the $1.6 trillion of outstanding federal student loan debt all at one time.

Not as low as yours.

I was smart enough not to vote for Trump. You weren't.

Not only did you "own the libs"....you owned your own worthless MAGA ass.
Hahaha now that's funny. You were fooled by the idiot Biden! You probably still think Biden is sharp as a tack LOL. Dumbass. Have you always been this worthless and falling for any hoax sent down the pipeline for you? I have some property on blisterfinger island for sale, cheap!

Of course. The guy violated the terms of his permanent residency.

Based on constitutionally sound law.
But I had heard on one of the 24/7 news stations, the law had only been used once, decades or perhaps a century ago, and that the circumstances of the cases are not at all, similar?

This will be duked out imo because there's an argument on both sides! So, it could go to the SC and, the chances of Roberts and Barrett to go with the dems is at least 30% again, imo or at best maybe a 50/50 chance....the Courts could drag this one out for a bit before we really know... with all the appeals you know will happen!
