2- the contract stipulated that we had access in PERPETUITY
3- the contract stipulated that the canal was CONDITIONALLY released to Panama
4- the owners of the merchant ships have obviously complained that their fees are outrageous and that as a consequence thereof WE THE PEOPLE are being adversely affected;
5- if foreign military powers control it , or have unduly influence, it may harm our national security
