Where do you get these 11 percent and 0 percent numbers from?I understand the balance of power. What I don't understand is, for a country of the people, how reasonable is it that leadership of the country is determined through voters given the choice of:
- one candidate in the primary getting 11% of the total votes cast in the presidential election
- while the other major party's candidate got 0%.
That is what doesn't work for me. Our two-party system sucks.
Trump got about 30 percent of the primary votes in 2016. I don't remember what percent Clinton got, but it was probably more.
Also, I've lived in countries with multiple major parties, and they are more chaotic than the US.
