Bill Ayers and his gang didn't just enter the Capital building and run amok, they bombed corporations and military recruitment centers. Testimony indicates that the last bomb the gang made was intended for Soldiers at a Ft. Dix dance. The bomb makers in Ayers' gang blew themselves up in a Greenwich Village apartment and Ayers went underground. My guess is that Ayers had some significant information about the democrat party involvement in the anti-war terrorist movement and cut a deal.
