Not exactly a ton of deep thought going on there.
Trump's staff was as blindsided by his brilliant idea as we were. Last I heard, the administration is going to limit guest worker visas only, for maybe 120 days or so.... He is not (or cannnot--I dunno) stop lawfully applied immigrants being processed to move to this country permanently. Or that is not what the administration is going to do, anyway. If you have updated information to the contrary, please share.

Mechanize picking tomatoes and strawberries? I don't think so. You can't mechanize planting tomato seedlings, or picking lettuce or apples or a host of other things. Harvesting wild blueberries has been mechanized in a lot of our fields (we call them barrens) but there is still a lot of property that has too many rocks or is too uneven for that.
