We all knew it would probably come out eventually. This is just another example of Trump screwing the country for his own personal gain.

Trump Has ‘Financial Interest’ in Hydroxychloroquine Manufacturer: NYT
President Donald Trump has a “small financial interest” in the maker of an anti-malarial drug that he has been touting as a “game changer” in treating coronavirus, according to The New York Times. Over the past two weeks, Trump and his Fox News allies have aggressively promoted hydroxychloroquine as a potential cure, despite top infectious-disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci and others urging caution and noting that there was not enough evidence of the drug’s efficacy.

The Times reports the president’s family trusts all have investments in a mutual fund whose largest holding is Sanofi, the manufacturer of Plaquenil, the brand-name version of hydroxychloroquine. Associates of the president, including Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, have also run funds that hold investments in the pharmaceutical firm.
I invest in a mutual fund. I don't pick the stocks the fund invests my money in.

Can you prove the Trumps did knowingly pick this drug to invest in with the intent to push its use should he ever become President and a COVID-19 pandemic occur?

Can you prove the Trumps invested in the drug brand AFTER the COVID-19 pandemic began and / or after they learned it could potentially be a treatment for it...in the midst of the stock market dive? If you can, I am all onboard with you on questioning the Trumps on his one....

The desperation as Trump keeps saving Americans. Democrats are in 100% fury mode.
Denial is not just a river in Egypt, Norman. How corrupt or criminal does Trump have to be in order to earn your disdain?

Oh by the way, Norman, 3M just signed a deal with Canada to provide all the masks we need. So much winning, there - for Trudeau. When Trumpy Bear stopped the shipments, Trudeau told Canada not to worry. He'd get the masks, and he did.

Another idiot who doesn't know what a blind trust is.
A law clerk who does will, trusts and estates most certainly does know what a "blind trust" is, and a blind trust is NOT administered by your children. Trump has never signed a blind trust and openly participates in the running and operations of his businesses. In a "blind trust", the beneficiary has no knowledge of his/her holdings, and does not participate in the operation or promotion of his or her businesses holdings because they don't know what those holdings are.

Just because the lying con piled a bunch of empty file folders on a table and told you these were his trust documents, doesn't mean that there was anything in those folders. You Trumpkins will fall for anything.
Had to do a quick google search, I see. :abgg2q.jpg:

So what you are saying is Donald John Trump put the whole world in a potential economic catastrophic situation so he can make a few million dollars on a potential virus kill medication.
No, what we're saying is that while Americans are dying because of his incompetent handling of this virus, Donald Trump is trying to promote a drug he owns a piece of in order to make money. Trump didn't create the pandemic but if he can make a few bucks off it, why not?

There really is no limit to the depths he will sink to.

Is anyone making that accusation? No. Is it unreasonable to think he knows a fund he owns has as its largest position the maker of the drug? No.

Another investor in both Sanofi and Mylan, another pharmaceutical firm, is Invesco, the fund previously run by Wilbur Ross, the commerce secretary.

These potential conflicts of interest are typically prevented by the kind of divestiture Trump refused to do.

do you have a point?

How many hundreds of companies does that mutual fund have investments in?

Should we put it, and all of his other investments under a microscope for other nonsensical attacks on him?

Should we check to see if he has investments in the company that makes the paper towels he was throwing around so freely? Or Play Dough?

is there any piece of driftwood you wont' cling to, to attack the president?
Yes. Yes we should. This is why presidents should divest themselves of financial ties to private companies when taking office.

Conflict of interest.

It's almost as if the goon knew divesting from his myriad of business interests, as was the norm, isn't in his personal interest.

Let's see what Trumpletons are doing now in the face of Trump promoting his monetary interest, as opposed to the health and well-being of Americans. Maybe, just maybe, there is going to one to surprise us.

No. No trump supporter will surprise you.

There is absolutely nothing that man can do to make his supporters on this board turn on him.
So, people are supposed to turn on Trump because a blind trust (do you know what that is) has money in a mutual fund (do you know what that is) that has a small investment in one of the companies that produces one of the medicines that are saving lives from the Chinese virus?

Do you ever think before posting, moron?
I would guess not if there's even the tiniest flake of "Orange Man Bad" attached.

3M, U.S. reach deal on masks; shipments to continue to Canada - BNN Bloomberg
Perhaps you should send army units to guard these masks, for the lying grifter now has a record of piracy:

A shipment of protective masks that was bound for Germany was diverted in Thailand and sent to the United States instead, the Financial Times reported on Friday.

The masks were first reported to have come from US manufacturer 3M, but German officials later told the Financial Times that they were working to clarify which company manufactured the masks.

3M told Business Insider in a statement that "3M has no evidence to suggest 3M products have been seized. 3M has no record of any order of respirators from China for the Berlin police. We cannot speculate where this report originated."

The diversion of the 200,000 protective masks intended for healthcare workers and emergency staff members in Berlin was "an act of modern piracy," Andreas Geisel, Berlin's interior minister, told the Financial Times.

Better be safe than without masks.

You are accusing him of what many of those politicians have done and are doing. You have not problem with that.

Maybe get rid of all the polticos with stock in Phillip-Morris as well ?
Yes, please.

Lets not forget to declare the "traitors" in the Kennedy clan living off liquor since prohibition. ?
Was JFK pushing for a new prohibition that had made the Kennedy family money?

Leave out the ones with investment in the military - industrial dept of offense.
Yes, please.

Oops!

Avian flu and federal funding
Obama purchased $5,000 in shares for AVI, which was developing a drug to treat avian flu. Two weeks after buying the stock, as the disease was spreading in Asia, Obama pushed for more federal funding to fight the disease, but he said he did not discuss the matter with any company officials.

Obama also had more than $50,000 in shares of Skyterra, a company that had just received federal permission to create a nationwide wireless network that combined satellite and land-based communications systems.

Among the company's top investors were donors who raised more than $150,000 for Obama's political committees, the New York Times reported Wednesday. The stock holdings were first examined Monday by the financial Web site, Thestreet.com.

Mutual funds seemed to be good enough for Barry Hussein.

Blind trust concerns
Obama said he didn't invest in a qualified blind trust because it wouldn't enable him to limit which companies he invested in, such as those in the tobacco industry and other areas that he did not want to support.

Deep in the heart of Texas.
I wonder how many other politicians might have a financial interest in this through mutual funds?
Are they out there promoting people to buy this, as of yet unproven drug? If so please post a link.
I don’t believe the drug is sold over the counter so no one is being prompted to buy it and there is increasing evidence that the drug does help with treating the virus. It’s not a magical cure all but it’s also not some new drug that just appeared out of nowhere I believe it was first discovered in the late 1920s or 1930s.

Jimmy Carter put his drunk brother in charge of his nuts. No blind trust.
You're a damn liar. You failed to support with proof trump has a blind trust, you didn't because he didn't.

With thanks to BERG80, I'll let the reader see what a POS like you will do to protect trump:
