trump has become the prez he wanted to be during his first term, but couldn't.

Did you turn off the tube during the Biden train wreck. That's the only way you could have avoided the chaos and even then you would have had bury your head in your sandbox.

best you take a midol - 'cause you sound hysterical.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and the committee’s top Democrat, Dick Durbin (Illinois), on Tuesday demanded that President Donald Trump “immediately” comply with the law by giving Congress the required 30-day notice regarding the firing of inspectors general from 18 offices.

He just makes shit up like that, glorifying himself, an easily-discovered lie, and it's just another drop in the hurricane.

I don't how this happened. It's a fuckin' zombie movie.
The lie he has floated to justify the purge of IG's is "every prez does it." It's so easy to fact check I ask myself why he would tell such an overt lie.

The answer............The Following doesn't care.

Was the 2020 election stolen from trump?

The matter of whether the prez has control over appropriated funds has come up before.

Trump administration broke law in withholding Ukraine aid, watchdog says as Senate prepares for impeachment trial

The Trump administration broke the law by withholding congressionally approved military aid to Ukraine last summer “for a policy reason,” a top government watchdog said Thursday in a scathing report.

The Government Accountability Office’s report came a day after the House of Representatives sent articles of its impeachment of President Donald Trump to the Senate for conduct related to holding back that aid.

Trump refused to release the funds to Ukraine at the same time he was pressuring that country’s new president to announce investigations of former Vice President Joe Biden and of Biden’s son Hunter, who had served on the board of a Ukraine gas company. Joe Biden is the current front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination.

The funds were only released after the block on the aid became publicly known, sparking the congressional probe which led to the Republican president’s impeachment by the Democratic-controlled House.

The GAO report said that the Office of Management and Budget cited “a policy reason” for withholding $214 million in funds appropriated by Congress to the Defense Department for security assistance to Ukraine.

Trump Fires at Least 12 Inspectors General in Late-Night Purge

President Trump fired at least 12 inspectors general late on Friday night, three people with knowledge of the matter said, capping a week of dramatic shake-ups of the federal government with a purge of independent watchdog officials created by Congress to root out abuse and illegality within federal agencies.

The move capped a week of major shake-ups of the federal bureaucracy focused on loyalty to the president, three people with knowledge of the matter said

Two people with knowledge of the matter said on Friday night that 17 inspectors general had been terminated; a third person said on Saturday morning that the figure was at least twelve. A White House spokesman would not comment for the record, and did not respond to a request for a list of those who had been terminated.

Presidents have the prerogative to dismiss inspectors general. However, they are supposed to give Congress 30 days’ notice before they do so and provide specific reasons. The White House spokesman did not respond to a question about why that law was not followed.

Trump Fires at Least 12 Inspectors General in Late-Night Purge

I can answer that. Anyone who thinks the trump admin will follow any law it doesn't feel like following isn't paying attention.

He did the same thing during trump 1.0 but not as many were fired. One was fired because he was looking in to Pompeo's misuse of staff, having them run errands for him.

But Don doesn't like Mike any longer. It's why he displayed his pettiness once again and took away Pompeo's security detail.

On the whole Don's behavior was restrained by folks like Gen. Kelly from being the impulsive, reckless, dangerous, cretin he is by nature. Nobody like Kelly is around any longer. We're seeing trump unbridled in being the corrupt prez he wants to be.

Can anyone think of a reason trump would remove all those IG's? People with the responsibility to be watchdogs over corruption in his admin.
It's funny how the Left claim Trump is being petty when he fires dead wood. As I've said before -

Reagan did it Jan. 20, 1981, it was legal and accepted.
The law governing the removal of IG's was updated in 2022. It requires the prez to submit to Congress a detailed explanation for why an IG is being removed 30 days in advance of the removal.
Biden fired an IG for cause but complied with the law.

The dismissals, handed out less than a week after Trump took office for his second term, appeared to violate federal law, the independent Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency said in a letter to the White House on Friday.

The law requires a president to give Congress “substantive rationale, including detailed and case specific reasons” for the dismissals 30 days in advance, the council said in the letter to Sergio Gor, White House personnel director.

Gor’s Friday email to the fired inspectors cited “changing priorities” as a reason for the firings, according to the letter, reported by Politico.

“At this point, we do not believe the actions taken are legally sufficient to dismiss Presidentially Appointed, Senate Confirmed Inspectors General,” said Council Chair Hannibal Ware, suggesting Gor consult with the White House counsel.
