trump has become the prez he wanted to be during his first term, but couldn't.

Trump could have done this in his first term. His error was in assuming that democrats would become reasonable people. He thought, wrongly, that he could deal with them. Now he knows how rabid they are, how evil, how intractible. Now he's acting accordingly.

It's insulting to see Bone Spurs, a cowardly draft dodger who insults vets who were killed or wounded, treat a war hero like Milley this way.

With every passing day trump shows himself to be more unfit to lead the nation.

He just makes shit up like that, glorifying himself, an easily-discovered lie, and it's just another drop in the hurricane.

I don't how this happened. It's a fuckin' zombie movie.

i remember telling you after biden won in 2020 - that it was refreshing to not think about what kinda chaotic freak show was gonna be on TV or my pc screen.

& here we are fucking again. & yes, rock bottom has a basement.

ah yesssssssssssssss............ what's old is new.

again. :113:

Since you are so afflicted, I guess you'd know, but because you're afflicted, I guess we can't trust anything you say.

Trump's tariff announcement crashed the markets this afternoon.

FBI Purge. Markets crashing. And Eggs hit $8.00 a dozen this week.

And it turns out the Trump's attacks on DEI and the Biden Administration was all cover up of his gutting of the FAA, the Transportation safety board, and it's Committees - all to protect MUSK from oversight, and the illegal attempt to force civil servants to take a buy out, resulted in chaos in the airport and staffing problems.

So much winning.

Trump Fires at Least 12 Inspectors General in Late-Night Purge

President Trump fired at least 12 inspectors general late on Friday night, three people with knowledge of the matter said, capping a week of dramatic shake-ups of the federal government with a purge of independent watchdog officials created by Congress to root out abuse and illegality within federal agencies.

The move capped a week of major shake-ups of the federal bureaucracy focused on loyalty to the president, three people with knowledge of the matter said

Two people with knowledge of the matter said on Friday night that 17 inspectors general had been terminated; a third person said on Saturday morning that the figure was at least twelve. A White House spokesman would not comment for the record, and did not respond to a request for a list of those who had been terminated.

Presidents have the prerogative to dismiss inspectors general. However, they are supposed to give Congress 30 days’ notice before they do so and provide specific reasons. The White House spokesman did not respond to a question about why that law was not followed.

I can answer that. Anyone who thinks the trump admin will follow any law it doesn't feel like following isn't paying attention.

He did the same thing during trump 1.0 but not as many were fired. One was fired because he was looking in to Pompeo's misuse of staff, having them run errands for him.

But Don doesn't like Mike any longer. It's why he displayed his pettiness once again and took away Pompeo's security detail.

On the whole Don's behavior was restrained by folks like Gen. Kelly from being the impulsive, reckless, dangerous, cretin he is by nature. Nobody like Kelly is around any longer. We're seeing trump unbridled in being the corrupt prez he wants to be.

Can anyone think of a reason trump would remove all those IG's? People with the responsibility to be watchdogs over corruption in his admin.
Trump's first term he was told he needed Washington "insiders" to make the Government run smoothly! It turned out that many of those insiders were charter members of the Swamp who didn't want things to change. This time around he knows better. He's cleaning house and then he's going to start fixing the mess that's been made by Joe Biden and the Democrats.

Airport staffing for flight controllers is a problem because DEI criteria were used for hiring during the Biden/Harris Administration. There was a law suit brought by white applicants that weren't hired despite having higher test scores than people who's biggest attribute was that they "checked the right boxes"!

Do YOU really want a DEI hire running things when you're coming into a busy airport? I don't. I want the most qualified person. I don't care if that person is white, black, brown or purple!

Russians rejoice in Trump's win, but America's allies are anxious

November 9, 2016 / 8:11 AM EST / CBS News

MOSCOW -- With the election of Donald Trump, President Vladimir Putin says Russia is ready and willing to restore full-fledged diplomatic relations with the United States, but he says he knows it won’t be easy.

“We aware that it is a difficult path, in view of the unfortunate degradation of relations between the Russian Federation and the United States,” said Putin, adding that the poor state of affairs was “not our fault.”

He said he hoped the U.S.-Russian relations could be rebuilt “based on principles of equality, mutual respect and a real accounting each other’s positions.”

During the campaign, Trump praised Putin’s leadership, calling him “a strong leader -- stronger than our president,” and he cast doubt on allegations by U.S. intelligence agencies that the Russians had hacked the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Allies and Former U.S. Officials Fear Trump Could Seek NATO Exit in a Second Term

For nearly four years, President Trump has publicly railed against the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, angrily demanding that its members pay more for Europe’s collective defense. In private, Mr. Trump has gone further — speaking repeatedly about withdrawing altogether from the 71-year-old military alliance, according to those familiar with the conversations.

In a second term, he may get his chance.

Recent accounts by former senior national security officials in the Trump administration have contributed to growing unease on Capitol Hill and across Europe. They lend credence to a scenario in which Mr. Trump, emboldened by re-election and potentially surrounded by an inexperienced second-term national security team, could finally move to undermine — or even end — the United States’ NATO membership.

These former officials warn that such a move would be one of the biggest global strategic shifts in generations and a major victory for President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia.

How many times do you think Putin watched a recording of yesterday's Oval Office meeting?

Trump could have done this in his first term. His error was in assuming that democrats would become reasonable people. He thought, wrongly, that he could deal with them. Now he knows how rabid they are, how evil, how intractible. Now he's acting accordingly.
But the larger truth is that the venomous exchanges — broadcast not only to an astounded audience of Americans and Europeans who had never seen such open attacks on each other, but to Mr. Putin and his Kremlin aides — made evident that Mr. Trump regards Ukraine as an obstacle to what he sees as a far more vital project.

What Mr. Trump really wants, one senior European official said this week before the blowup, is a normalization of the relationship with Russia. If that means rewriting the history of Moscow’s illegal invasion three years ago, dropping investigations of Russian war crimes or refusing to offer Ukraine long-lasting security guarantees, then Mr. Trump, in this assessment of his intentions, is willing to make that deal.

To anyone listening carefully, that goal was bubbling just beneath the surface as Mr. Zelensky headed to Washington for his disastrous visit.

This was telegraphed as far back as trump 1.0.

Zelensky's big mistake was that he believed democrats. Couple that with the natural Napoleon complex that some small men have and it was disaster.

trump had sane people around him the first term. He learned that he could not do what he wanted cause they constrained him. This time he is surrounded by cowardly Yes people. Thee Law is what trump says it is.
