Trump finally got his birthday parade. It didn't look like he had as much fun as he expected.

All Military -active and retired, along with civilians were invited to be there to honor the military. As I’ve said on other posts, this should be an annual event. Your issue is not the cost for this event but that it was Trump’s idea to do it.
Pretty much, a draft dodger wanting a military parade on his birthday at the cost of the taxpayers.

Some of use respect the military, don't think they are suckers and losers, and don't mind being seen with disabled vets.

Unlike Trump.

What? Look I could care if Trump lives in your noodle. I really don't care but squeaking about it is tiresome

Please stop with concern over the taxpayers. The only reason you are expressing concern is because Trump is doing the spending. Also, if you are going to blast Draft dodgers, be consistent and include Bill Clinton.

Birthday or not, the last parade honoring the military in Washington was 34 years ago under another Republican President, George HW Bush.

There should be a Military Parade every June honoring our troops regardless of who is in the White House.
If we had regular parades it wouldn't be so notable that one occurred on trump's birthday

Had Clinton called for a military parade I would have. I'm expressing concern as a veteran who finds it comical that a draft dodger wants a military parade honoring himself.

Uh, He wasn't yet President when they were planning the parade.
They were not planning a military parade with tanks and flyovers in the nation’s Capitol.

That is an outright and particularly dishonest lie.

Your beloved fuhrer wanted tanks in the streets (for the first time since the Bonus Army in 1932).

He said so many, many times. During his first regieme, he tried to demand it.

They were, but on a smaller scale.

I always love it when others are reduced to insults and profanity.

Not being able to post cogent debate can do that do ya.

Bless your heart though.

It was honoring the Army and it was Flag Day.

Never had a king and never will. That's what the protests were about.

And we still don't. By the way: weren't you part of the party that locked people in their houses, made them wear masks and stay 6 feet apart when Covid hit?

what a complete joke

Yesterday’s Army birthday parade should’ve been a moment of pride—a national “thank you” to the men and women who’ve worn the uniform and stood guard for our country through generations. Instead, empty seats told a different story.

Whatever the reasons—weather, timing, politics—it doesn't change this truth: The U.S. Army has given more to this nation than we could ever repay. Millions have served, sacrificed, and bled so we could enjoy the freedoms many now take for granted. They deserve more than silence.

Whether you agreed with every mission or not, the people in those uniforms took an oath to defend us all. They carried it out with honor. And they keep doing it—around the world, in every time zone, every day.

I won’t forget. And I hope that in the future, more Americans won’t either.
