Trump finally got his birthday parade. It didn't look like he had as much fun as he expected.

I watched the parade and my take away is that it appeared like no one wanted to be in this parade. The soldiers looked like they wanted to be somewhere else and they didn’t even bother to keep in step, Melanie looked like she was falling asleep, little Marco and Linda McMahon couldn’t keep their boredom a secret and even Trump at times looked like he couldn’t keep his eyes open.

I for the most part after watching the parade had no issue with it except it was too long.
Thats where I come down.

And that is the real tragedy (if you want to call it that). They could have done it any day on the calendar but Trump demanded it be on his birthday. It just marred the whole event.

I think we should celebrate our American instituions...The National Parks had their 100TH anniversary about 10 years ago. It was celebrated system wide. Nobody said anything about it because Obama didn’t try to get a benefit from it.

The fascist parade was a HUGE flop! Don’t let the MSM spin it as anything else.

The No Kings Day protests however...
It's hilarious, it was so bad that our enemies are laughing at us.

Honestly, next year the country will celebrate its 250th anniversary. That is when the country should go all out with a massive parade. This parade was half-assed and marred by Trump’s own conduct and words.

Never ever happened.

"With such purpose it seems fitting to recount the Potts version of the Encampment prayer, to offer a vastly different and little known account as found in the detailed story by an Ex-Pension Agent, and to present some evidences of the great leader's prayerful attitude as revealed by the records. Reference to Potts version first appeared in 1816, the 17th Edition of the "Life of George Washington, with Curious Anecdotes" by the Rev. Mason L. Weems, formerly rector of Mount Vernon Parish.

Henry Woodman in his "History of Valley Forge," 1850, has this to say; "I have heard it said, that Washington used often to retire to solitary places, and on one of these occasions he was discovered by Isaac Potts engaged in vocal prayer. This circumstance is noticed by Weems with some comments. How far this account is correct I am not prepared to say. But I have heard the circumstances related and the spot was pointed out to me several years before I saw the account published." It should be noted that Woodman was born in the old camp ground 1795. He states that during his youth his father, a veteran of the Revolution and of Valley Forge, frequently walked over the camp site with the son, relating incidents of camp life and pointing out locations."

Uh, June 14 is the anniversary of the founding of the United States Army.

Thus, no other date makes sense and you and the other leftoid trolls here and elsewhere would attack Trump if he had had the parade on another date, claiming he didn't want the parade to interfere with his birthday. You know I'm correct on that.

15th post
Yeah? What did you contribute about Washington's prayers and mentions of God in his papers and letters?
That the neo-evangelical version of Washington is weak. He had to be a member of his parish vestry to be a legislator, but he would walk in the garden every time during communion. He was somewhere around a weak almost-deistic type of Christian, not as rationalistic as Jefferson but not anywhere a solid believer as a Jay or a Henry.

Nope, but I did attend the NO KINGS rally in Houston. I was one of those protesting peacefully, despite repubs trying to escalate it.
Yeah, we hear about the repubs but nobody provides any evidence.

And you are right with them.

How is your 1 in a thousand "fags in a bag" activity working out?

Yeah, I know.

So, you’re actually sitting there in your feces stained underware and are going to tell us that if June 14 was on a Tuesday, we would have had this “parade” on a Tuesday?

You’re well known as the silliest poster on the board but this is really bizare even for you.
