Trump: Fascist or Democratic leader?

Do you fools really want to test God again?

He has a strategy of telling the senate to take a hike if he can’t get the votes so he can get his people through with recess appointments. If this actually happens you would acknowledge that it is a fascist move, right?
If the queen had balls she would be king. I am not playing hypothetical games

By your operational definition, Clinton and Bush were Fascists.

President Bill Clinton made 139 recess appointments (average of 17 per year). President George W. Bush made 171 recess appointments (average of 21 per year). During the last two years of the Bush administration, Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid sought to prevent further recess appointments

Uh, deregulation is the opposite of Fascist

How about examples of what he has done rather than things he "could" do.
That’s why I started this thread… so we can keep a log of examples. It will be glorious

Ok, Round 2 of the Trump circus has begun. I've made the observation that Trump is a Populist Fascist leader. While being a bit in the gray area when it comes to regulations, he fits many of the other fascist attributes to a "T". The deregulation does make sense given he is a private businessman and that helps his personal enrichment game.

This thread is to point out Trumps fascist attributes and for those who think he is all about freedom and democracy to defend their position.

We are only a couple weeks in and we are seeing my first Fascist point being excellently highlighted. Recess Appointments. A tactic to bypass the constitutional power of Congress to advise and consent for cabinet picks. The all powerful Trump does not respect this process and is threatening to steam roll it.

Is that Fascist or Democratic in your mind??

Any other examples y'all want to point out... please go right ahead.
That's just childish. Top Democrats lost using that tactic. Are you really a Republican on a weak sabotage mission?

Article II Section 2 of the US Constitution:

"He [the President] shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

"The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session."

Presidents have the constitutional authority to make recess appointments. Interestingly, it was Obama who illegally made recess appointments while the Senate was still in session.
The bold part is nice… just don’t ignore the advice and consent part at the top

Good for them… I’m not focusing on them right now. I’m focusing on Trump and when he does something fascist I’ll post it here and we can discuss

Your hypocrisy is delicious. So were Bush and Clinton Fascists? Trying to garner a baseline.

Idiotic thread headline.

Typical of Slade.

A. Like one other thread, currently getting attention, it fails to define its terms. For the primary example; perfectly reasonable people on either sides of the political spectrum don’t agree on the meaning of the term “fascist.”

B. We aren’t a democracy.

C. As constructed, the OP offers a completely false dichotomy.

You don't know what Fascist means.

Why is that?

15th post
Gen. John Kelly, Trump’s former chief of staff, says Trump meets the definition of a fascist.

Who are we to disagree.
Well many of us (obviously not including you) are intelligent enough not to take the absurd claim of a disgruntled ex.

I’d have to look at the argument. Pick one of their recess appointments that you find controversial and I’ll let you know
