Under Nafta????
You & your fuckhead orange buddy don't realize that the US has a trade surplus with Canada on steel.
But hey, Canada is a National Security threat.. Right?
Cherry picking. Overall we have a deficit and that stifles our GDP growth. You guys are so full of shit.
The subject was steel tariffs moron. And Tariffs.
The net result so far are job losses. I wonder how that helps the GDP
The subject is TRADE, and not just the products you want to cherry pick to make your point. And job losses? Really? With unemployment at record lows, you present a pretty weak case. GDP? Keep wondering while we watch it grow (in stark contrast to the communist who just left). Trump is putting Obama to shame in every aspect of leadership and you just can't stand it, and talking the economy down won't work. Lying repeatedly doesn't change facts (although I understand it's the only weapon you have in your arsenal).
“Lying repeatedly doesn’t change facts.” Oh the irony considering that there wasn’t a single verifiable fact in that post.
With unemployment is at records lows, why is Trump using economic policies to stimulate employment? Why is Trump running the biggest deficit in US history? You’re supposed to cut the deficit during times of prosperity.
Trumps growth rates are no different that Obama’s. The economy grew just 2.3% in 2017.
While Trumpbots are still orgasming over last months’ GDP figures, economists warned that the increase in exports and GDP don’t provide an accurate picture of the economy. Soy bean and other exports increased as buyers rushed to take delivery ahead of the imposition of announced tariffs. Trump said the export increases showed his tariffs are working. Economists said not so fast.
Obama had higher GDP growth in 5 quarters during his administration. And he didn’t goose the figures with threats of tariffs or by imposing tariffs. This was genuine growth fuelled by inventories and sales.
Last year’s GDP growth was 2.3%, which is only the 4th highest rate of growth in the past 7 years. Middling at best.
This year’s growth is only averaging 3.2% despite massive tax cuts, the largest budget deficit in US history, and the threat of tariffs. Talk about picking up the peanuts while being trampled by the elephants!
Notice that not one trade deal has been signed since Trump started this tariff nonsense, while your trading partners are busily making deals with other countries without you. An agreement to “continue discussions” and “work toward” a deal, isn’t a deal.
In the meantime, plants are starting to close. Yes the weak sisters go down first
