I don't see how dumping Pence now will help. Melania approved Pence in the first place. The guy's loyalty is unquestionable. Pence wanted to run as the incumbent in 2024. I doubt that happens, and Pence has probably given up any future political career he had for Trump. He'll probably find a nice landing space though. Unlike Bridget "smile children" Neilson, Sarah "burn the truth" Sanders and Sean "twinkle toes" Spicer, who are all unemployable becase of their lies.

I don't see how this happens without a risk of losing almost all the evangelical vote. Even if it's someone like Nikki Haley or the governor of South Dakota, they would have to be a holy roller. Dumping Pence would run the risk of actually putting a dent in his base. And if that happens. Game over.

If he dumps Pence, he loses the evangelical vote. Pence is the glue that binds Roberts and Graham to Trump. I think Trump would love to put Nickey Haley on the ticket, but Haley would probably pass on the job and make her own run in 2024. Lashing herself to the Trump Administration would forever tie her to his toxic agenda. Haley got out at just the right moment, before it all turned totally to shit.

I think Trump would be hard pressed to find anyone outside of his current inner circle willing to tie themselves to the fat bloob as he sinks below the waves.
