Well nobody in the US will prosecute American servicemen for war crimes, they are immune to all intents and purposes.

Imagine a democrat administration setting up a war crimes trial for servicemen who served under trump? Nobody would support that, few republicans and few democrats, I suppose Hegseth might be a viable target though.

Only the ICC could attempt that (and the US isn't a signatory) and perhaps reach a stage where an arrest warrant gets issued for Trump et-al, but Israel will thwart that no end nor would any Western country really want to endorse it for all the obvious reasons.

So yes, on paper war crimes have already been committed but nothing will happen unless there was some huge change in US/EU relations were the US was compelled or something, I can't see that happening soon.

It might be a great way to dipose of Trump though, get rid of him and wash the dirt from the GOP's hands.
