Trump destroyed our most important alliance

offer up some quality people to run.....

Trump was literally dogshit compared to almost anyone else who ran. His horrific approval ratings here and abroad are testament to that. Offer up more quality people or you'll do what? Vote for the absolute worst possible option? Sure, makes sense.

Yes.
The fact Biden and Trump were forced upon us by the partisan primary monopoly, shows the whole system is so rigged it needs to be totally destroyed and we need to start over without any political parties having any influence at all on the election system, like primaries. Open primaries only.

This isn't a both siderism argument. Trump has been dangerous to the point that our relationships with our allies that they and we depend upon have been threatened. Don't push this bullshit that this dumpster fire we went through had anything to do with the Democrats choice for president. The right needs to own their mistake, start with the riots on the capitol and work backwards to electing this shitshow the world has witnessed the passed 4 years. It's not like we didn't already know who Trump was before he was elected.

Absolute embarrassment that Trump, this semi-illiterate retard has the ability to swindle so many into buying all this crap.

Then Democrats needed to nominate a person in 2016 that was trusted by Americans, not just lefties. I could not vote for either candidate in the last two Presidential elections because I don’t trust either party. Rigby5 is right, you want better Presidents then find better candidates. 2016 provided us with the two least trusted candidates in US history. How anyone in 2016 could have voted for either candidate was beyond stupid.

No. The blame for people buying into Trump and voting for him is on them. No excuses.
While you are correct on the blame for buying into trump is on them, he is somewhat correct about Democrats needed to nominate someone who could be trusted in 2016, but failed to do so. Both sides played to lowest common denominator of politics and or demagogic appeal, without character being a consideration. This is what you get and a mirror probably of what you might have had.

I don't agree. There isn't a shred of evidence that Clinton would have been this bad, not even close. She knew the value of our allies and our democratic values. She wouldn't have swirled up this untenable level of hate that Trump has managed to enrage. She wouldn't have given voice to unfounded conspiracy theories like Q and election fraud down to petty lies about crowd and hand size.

There is no comparison.

Yeah, of course she would not, given the fact she was engaged in illegal activity her entire time in public office.

That's what the conspiracies say.

Like that time she had to pay millions for defrauding people who paid money to attend ClintonU.

Does not change anything I said, nor the facts that she has been engaged in illegal activity for 30 to 40 years now. Other people doing wrong, doesn't mean Clinton's doing wrong, is perfectly fine now.

It will take this country at least a decade, if ever, to recover from Trump’s tremendous fuck ups.

Because of Trump our allies no longer trust the word of the American government, because of Trump the reputation of our democracy is in shatters, because of Trump we are an international laughingstock.
What a spin--Trump did exactly as he said he would...the Europeans are only upset about globalist losing power and they getting to rob the us of more money.

In 2009, Obama was accused of an “Apology Tour” trying to patch up our relations with our allies. Over eight years, Obama and Biden were able to repair torn relationships with our European allies and US was looked at as Leader of the Free World

No amount of apologies will repair the damage done by Donald J Trump. The world looks at our current political unrest and does not trust us to not elect another Trump Republican.

The absolutely best news I've heard lately...thank you for posting it.

Well Joe Biden will restore our relationship with China and it will go back to crapping on us just like in the good old days of the Bushes and the Obamas.

Joe has no choice as he sold his soul to the Chinese so he and Hunter could profit.

China likely helped Joe beat Trump.

Four years of peace and treaties between Israel and Middle East nations never seen before. When the bombs start dropping soon you can't blame Trump.

You guys keep telling the lies about Trump bringing “peace”

A peace that attacked Congress, a peace that has turned Washington DC into an armed camp.

That is the legacy of Trumps “peace”

Fuck you, you paid commie shill. Commie riots started the day Trump was inaugurated and continued off an on for four fucking years, the 4 hour disruption of congress pales in comparison. The bullshit going on in DC right now is nothing but political theater. But keep up your crap and the backlash will grow, not diminish. We will not knuckle under.

.

Americans disagree with you.

Is that supposed to mean something?

During the his term Trump did not get the U.S. not involved in any new wars or military conflicts that is something the last four Presidents can not say

Trump is leaving his country on the verge of Civil War with the inauguration of a new President turned into an armed camp afraid of a hostile Trump Mob.

While Trump did not start any wars, he destroyed the Iran peace accords, weakened 75 year old US alliances and abandoned our role as Leader of the Free World.

Even worse, he left the US vulnerable to COVID infection that killed 400,000 Americans.

History will not be kind to the Trump experiment.
The people who have lead us to the brink of your so called Civil War are those who labeled themselves the resistance and did everything they could to undermine him for four years.

The Iran peace accords (laughable term) was nothing more than a bribe which they took and then ignored the request that went with it. Asking those in an alliance to live up to their commitements is not weaking it if they are not doing that it's not an alliance it's one side using the other.

At the start of Covid Trump issued travel bans on China and other parts of the world where the virus was spreading the left in and out of the media criticzed him for that calling it racist among other things including the soon to be President. Trump followed the advice of the so called experts and look where we are so maybe they were the problem.

History might not be kind to Trump or it might be kind to him and unkind to all of those who went out of their way to try and undermine him time will tell.

Obama tried to make alliances with our enemies and even helped finance them. Squandered taxpayer money in unneeded "foreign aid" and-along with his family- lived high on the hog with frequent luxury trips to Hawaii on the taxpayer dime. He damaged our Country greatly and I am grateful to President Trump for working to reverse some of the damage Obama caused. Obama will be remembered as our Nation's worse President in modern times unless Biden manages to top even him.

EXCELLENT!!! Sounds like Trump did his job very well so far as I’m concerned.

Wow, got to love commie projection. It was the commies that have been egging on violence and raising money to get their troops out of jail and back in the fray as soon as possible. Real Americans have had a belly full of your commie bullshit.

I disagree. My point was about character. I believe she lied on muliple occasions as was of short term benefit, as trump has before and while in office and she displayed similar poor judgement. Difference being, she's a much smarter person, there by possibly more dangerous in the long run. Though, I doubt she would have ever whipped up and sent an angry hoard of dumb asses to traitorously attack the capital and both houses of congress. I believe smart people without scruples but great systemic knowledge to be more dangerous by potential than a dumb ass, without a clue of how system works or why.

Progs hated our alliances when spending our resources to protect them. Now it is different. I understand why when totalitarian governments happen, it is easier to put a bullet into a head instead of listening to endless dogma.

It is a shame. I cannot blame them. Actually repairing trust is a long journey, even after getting to the point of acting in reliance, which is just an intermediary step brought on by circumstance, not trust. I do not really want them acting in reliance, but being apart of the community of trusted democratic nations on the world stage is important. It has been a destructive 4 years. One thing I am certain of, authoritarian dictator and communist ruled countries will no longer trust our acceptance and cooperation, as best they should not.
If you want to accept and cooperate with dictators and communists you really ought to go live in their countries instead of continuing to contaminate ours.
