So there are NO OLD CASE FILES to go through.

First of all, the courts have already ruled that presidents retain classified doc authority even after out of office, and all a president would have to do is give copies of all his docs to himself, just like he can give them to senators, ambassadors, and allies.
Classified docs never have to be returned.
They have no expiration date.
