OK. I have to admit, this seems quite pointless. I am against this decision by Trump.
Trump was in favor of and wanted a housing bill to lower costs for Americans. It was actually more or less his idea. There are a lot of good items in this bill and it was so overwhelmingly bipartisan that it seems about a 100% sure thing that they could override a Trump veto, which means Trump holds no cards on this issue, not even any cards he could bluff with. It would be different if it was not veto proof and Trump could use this decision to pressure Congress to pass the SAVE act but that is not the case. Pretty stupid I would have to agree because it guarantees a Trump loss on the subject. There is no way for him to win on this.
