Trump: Cancel Paris, Cut Funds for UN Climate, Save the coal industry

Bripat, you are a sad, dumb, delusional individual. It pains me to see you this way.

What's "delusional" about what I posted?
Obviously that you agree these are good ideas.

Fuck coal and fuck Trump for denying the overwhelming scientific evidence from AROUND THE WORLD that man made climate change is real. You simply believe it it's not because republicans told you not to. Don't you think that's kind of pathetic?

Saying "fuck coal" is the same as saying "fuck poor people." Fuck energy that they can afford. The so-called overwhelming scientific evidence if far from convincing. The average global temperature has been flat or declining for almost 20 years.

Based on what dataset? Not even RSS and UAH say what you're saying with the global temperature...Every dataset has said it has warmed at least .13c since 2000. GISS and noaa twice that.

From Dr. Roy Spencer

The Version 6.0 global average lower tropospheric temperature (LT) anomaly for April, 2016 is +0.71 deg. C, down slightly from the March value of +0.73 deg. C (click for full size version):

UAH V6 Global Temperature Update for April, 2016: +0.71 deg. C

What a little fucking liar you are, Pattycake. That is a four year old graph with a really stupid curve on it. One that earned Dr. Spencer much derision. Above is the graph to April of this year.

Yes, this is the same Trump that claims that California has no drought. And that Mexico will pay for a wall. And you stupid rubes eat it up. What a bunch of dumb asses you are. Willfully ignorant, and stupid to boot.

Just how is Trump going to make the utilities in Texas and Oklahoma that are investing in solar and wind, even when there is not a subsidy, cease to invest? And his lies concerning the bird kill by the wind mills is another lie, same that the 'Conservatives' have been pedaling for years, and has repeatedly been debunked here.
Repealing the EPA regulations that make it illegal to burn coal will take away the motivation to build solar and wind power.
Why would you want to take away the motivation to add solar and wind alternatives? Why would you want to rely on an energy source that is both polluting and unsustainable?

What moti vase you to hitch your wagon to the finite source, the polluting source of fossil fuel and discourage alternative sources of energy?

The "motivation" is large amounts of cash from my pocket. If an energy technology can't make it in the free market, it deserves to die. Fossil fuels are quite clean these days, especially natural gas. They are also far cheaper than wind and solar. If you want to use solar power, no one is stopping you. Have at it. Just leave me alone to make my own power decisions.
Fine, you fix yourself up a pedal bike and a generator. In the meantime, the rest of us will move on to power that is clean and plentiful.

Let me guess .... the reality fairy didn't visit your house today, right?

If you hate science then stop using the computer, internet, car, electricy, vaccines for diseases, and 50 million other things that come from the research and development of tech & science. If not then you're a hypocrite...Go join the isis and praise the goddamn lord.

Boy, you make legitimate FUN of a FALSE SCIENCE, bought and paid for by the Socialist regimes around the world that want to CONTROL you, through SCARE techniques(WE'RE GOING TO BURN UP IN 2 BILLION YEARS!) and this asshole believes I don't believe in science...Hey Matty, if you DIE, we will all have MORE OXYGEN.... Try to be helpful!

The type who falls for Trump's routines believe him because they want to. The same mechanism operates in the devoutly religious mentality. Some humans cannot deal with the realities of life without believing in a god, and there have been gods of some manifestation or other for as long as there have been humans who fear the darkness and long for a savior.

My dad used to have a phrase for comments like this .... he called it "unmitigated bullshit unsupported by facts."

Yeah I don't care if it will kill jobs. Fuck coal. I couldn't stress that enough. Oh and you not finding it convincing means jack shit because anyone who understand science would say otherwise. It's not like you know anything about geology or any of its fields.

I realize you don't give a flying fuck about the poor. No need for you to announce the fact.

The claim that you understand science doesn't pass the laugh test.
Actually I refer to the experts and recognize the wide consensus around the world of peer reviewed studies that provide evidence. You cherry pick small studies many of which are funded by oil companies saying otherwise.

Consensus isn't science, bonehead. It's religion. The climate studies you refer to are all funding by government.

Yeah, they show warming after NASA ordered them to doctor their results to show warming.
You are, of course, a little fucking liar. All the real scientific studies show a very rapid warming. And having live over 72 years, I have seen much of that warming, and it's effects in the mountains and high desert that I love.

By "scientific studies," you mean data that has been "homogenized" - doctored, in other words.

Here is one of the main reasons I support Trump. He will defang the EPA and the international AGW cult.

Go Trump. Go Trump. Go Trump.

Trump: Cancel Paris, Cut Funds for UN Climate, Save the coal industry « JoNova

Trump vows to cancel the Paris climate deal, stop funding UN global warming programs and save the coal industry.

Gotta love these plans. No wonder the big-government fans are apoplectic over Donald Trump as he paints targets on their most sacred cows.

In Australia Bill Shorten, potential Prime Minister, called Trump: “Barking Mad.” Shorten, showing his diplomatic talent, was burning goodwill with a potential US president and 45% of voters in the largest economy in the world and our most important strategic ally.

Below, the Trump plans this week: to use cheap energy; to stop trying to change the weather, and finish feeding faceless foreign bureaucracies.

Reuters

Trump: “We’re going to cancel the Paris climate agreement,” he said.

Trump slammed both rivals in his speech, saying their policies would kill jobs and force the United States “to be begging for oil again” from Middle East producers.

Trump said slashing regulation would help the United States achieve energy independence and reduce America’s reliance on Middle Eastern producers. “Imagine a world in which oil cartels will no longer use energy as a weapon,” he said.

Donald Trump Vows to Cut US Funding for UN Climate Change Programs

Trump said he would stop all payments of U.S. tax dollars to U.N. Global Warming programs.

The Guardian on Trump

In addition to his pledge to pull out of the Paris climate deal, Trump promised to only work with “environmentalists whose only agenda is protecting nature” and to “focus on real environmental challenges, not the phony ones”.

He contrasted this approach with that of Hillary Clinton, whose plan to combat climate change he called “a poverty expansion agenda”. Trump also attacked renewable energy sources, claiming that solar energy was too expensive and attacking wind turbines for “killing eagles”.

Vox – Trump Energy Speech

Coal production in the US has fallen 25% due to competition from fraking, and EPA regulations.

Donald Trump wants to bring back coal mining by repealing those EPA regulations. “We’re going to save the coal industry,” Trump promised

On renewables:

In his press conference with reporters before the speech, Trump elaborated: “I know a lot about solar,” he said. “The problem with solar is it’s very expensive.”

He also criticized wind turbines for killing birds in California. “Wind is killing hundreds and hundreds of eagles, one of the most beautiful, one of the most treasured birds,” he said. “So wind is a problem.”

“A Trump administration will focus on real environmental challenges, not the phony ones,” Trump said. “We’ll solve for environmental problems, like the need for clean and safe drinking water.” Later he elaborated: “My priorities are simple: clean air and clean water.”

As a Canadian, Bripat, why do you care?

Oh my, AGW is a cult. And that is why every Scientific Society, every National Academy of Science, and every major University has policy statements that AGW is real, and a clear and present danger. You are such a silly yapping little liar, Pattycake.

Repealing the EPA regulations that make it illegal to burn coal will take away the motivation to build solar and wind power.
And you prefer burning coal to deriving energy from solar and wind power?

Considering coal actually works 24/7 and is waaay cheaper and more efficient than either solar and waaaay, waaaaaay more than wind, yes.
So is asthma.

There is no demonstrated correlation between asthma and modern coal fired power plants.

You just proved AGW shows all the symptoms of being a cult. Scientific facts don't depend on votes by authorities. Anyone who says such thing is obviously an ignoramus..

Case in point: The book Hundert Autoren Gegen Einstein (A Hundred Authors Against Einstein),a collection of various criticisms of Einstein’s theory of relativity. Published in 1931, it contains short essays from 28 authors, and published excerpts from 19 more. The balance was a list of 53 people who were also opposed to relativity for various reasons.

When asked about the book, Einstein retorted by saying “Why 100 authors? If I were wrong, then one would have been enough!”

"Trump: Cancel Paris, Cut Funds for UN Climate, Save the coal industry"

Trump the con artist – pandering to the ignorant, ridiculous right.
It will be fun watching all you AGW cult members foaming at the mouth when Trump cuts funding for the Paris accord and cancels the EPA's latest round of coal killing regulations.

According to the most recent data available (2003–04), the two plants combined emit:

  • 230 lbs of mercury, which causes brain damage [1];
  • 17,765 tons of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide, which cause ozone and acid rain, and become particulate matter that contributes to breathing problems such as asthma [2];
  • 260,000 lbs of soot [3]
Like most coal-fired power plants in Illinois, because of their age, the Fisk and Crawford power plants are exempt from federal regulations that require modern pollution control devices. The Fisk plant was most recently rebuilt in 1958 and Crawford in 1959. The idea behind “grandfathering” the 1950s-era plants in the 1977 Federal Clean Air Act was that the dirty old plants were going to be replaced by more modern, cleaner plants in a matter of years. This was costly error in judgment we are still suffering through and fighting to correct.

The current federal framework for reducing power-plant pollution nationwide, the so-called “cap and trade” program, allows heavy pollution to be concentrated in areas that are home to people who are most vulnerable to the ill health effects from it, areas with lower-income individuals and minorities who are disenfranchised from the political process and power structure. This is the core concept of environmental injustice.

In fact, according to a 2004 study by the League of United Latin American Citizens, 7 in 10 hispanics live in counties that violate air pollution standards.
