The bottom line is that it makes no sense for someone to sneak over our border, have a baby in our hospital at our expense and then claim that they should be able to stay in the US to take care of their baby that is now a US citizen(on our dime). Its is absurd. How can anyone argue with a straight face that that makes any sense?

Amend the Amendment to make it more clear and to remove the loophole. There was a false assumption in 1868 that we wouldn’t be so stupid as to allow people to cross our border, unaccounted for, and have babies. In short, they didn’t foresee boneheaded, common senseless Democrats twisting their intent.

If the right to life and liberty come before government then it can't be government that decides to whom life and liberty are bestowed hence we have birth right citizenship.
