It's likely that he will harden his objections to funding America's proxy war against Russia as he gets support from the right. At the moment he's being cautious by talking about how funding the war should be in loans. Of course not possible.
(more coming)

The US should offer loans and not unconditional aid to Ukraine and other countries it funds, Republican presidential candidate and former US President Donald Trump has said. He also admitted that while president he threatened to not protect NATO allies in case of a Russian attack, if they failed to increase defense spending to 2% of their GDP.
America's military will never permit Trump to destroy relations with Nato countries. It's too valuable to America's need to be seen as not doing it alone.

So we can at least conclude that there's a shyness to taking a position on this issue. In any case, it's a question that everybody has an interest in. Can Trump oppose Biden's war and gain popularity in doing so?

There are at least a dozen countries with more interest in the Ukraine War than the United States, including some of the wealthiest countries in the world.
