Europe calls to prepare for US withdrawal from NATO after Trump's return

~~~~~~
"Eleven nations in 2023 reached the Nato guideline, up from seven in 2022.
Poland was the alliance's biggest spender as a share of GDP, contributing 3.90%, spending even more as a share of GDP than the US (3.49%) in second and Greece (3.01%) the next closest.
One trend seen is that countries bordering Ukraine, Russia, or its neighbour and ally Belarus are spending increasingly more following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Estonia (2.73%), Lithuania (2.54%), Finland (2.45%), Romania (2.44%), Hungary (2.43%) and Latvia (2.07%) are all exceeding the alliance's guideline for defence expenditure.
The nations falling short of the alliance's target in 2023 were France (1.90%), Montenegro (1.87%), North Macedonia (1.87%), Bulgaria (1.84%), Croatia (1.79%), Albania (1.76%), the Netherlands (1.70%), Norway (1.67%), Denmark (1.65%), Czech Republic (1.50%), Portugal (1.48%), Italy (1.46%), Canada (1.38%), Slovenia (1.35%), Turkey (1.31%), Spain (1.26%), Belgium (1.13%), Luxembourg (0.72%) and Germany
Amazing that Greece spends more and has a larger army than Germany.
Harry, on most of it. What is grievous is attempt to interfere with civil transfer of power and his four-year organization to do it again if he loses.
If he wins, he will try to install Orbanesque anti-democracy.
That is a guaranteed failure before it starts.
What did that even mean? I can always tell when you on the left have nothing, John because you hit me with "word salad" gibberish!
All nations in the West are spending more on defense, including Canada and as always the US ( ovetall up 5% , would have been more but Congress held Biden to a meager 1% increase in defense spending this year. . And no nation pays more for NATO than Poland ( 3.9% GNP ) the US is second with ( 3.49 % GNP ).
~~~~~~
Except the 3.49% is greater in GDP than the GDP of Poland. dollar wise.
when you consider that poland added $1.6 Billion to NATO as compared to $9.7 Billion contributed by the U.S. to Nato

Basically EVERYTHING.trump badmouthed the border situation and didn't solve anything , over 300,000 crossed on his watch, built only a little over 50 miles of new wall. He jumped in on the rise of Obama's success with the economy and dangerously tweaked it which helped lead to it's destruction. The Middle East he betrayed the Kurds. Biden is producing more US oil than trump did. Plus there's thousands of other lies and mistruths about what trump did and did not do. Most destructive of all he adopted fascist ideas and divided the nation more than ever even attempted to take it over. The man should be locked up for life or executed.
~~~~~~
As compared to 10 million in less than three years under Biden.. Meanwhile Joey killed 13 Americans and an untold amount of Afghans killed or left behind not to mention the Ukraine and now the Oct 7th attack by Hamas on Israel. Showing the complete weakness in the Biden foreign policies.
They're stealing from us when they don't pay their fair share.
Incorrect , by not paying their fair share they are shorting NATO funding. Not US. We don't make up the difference. Our GNP is just much higher as a rule and that's what the dues are based on. Just like Poland we've chosen to pay more into it for our own security concerns. No one is forcing US to do so. Only 11 of the 31 members of NATO have met the guidelines and they are guidelines not actual dues that are demanded. NATO has learned to do more with less rather than disparage their members and disrupt the mutual defense pact.
Correct , the US has a stronger currency , a higher GNP and a much greater population so they pay much more. Per person Polish people pay more than the average US citizen. Poland is smaller than the state of New Mexico and has a population equivalent to about 1/8th. that of the US.
A tremendous group effort.
It would be one of our greatest mistakes in history , we'd go out with a bang. Hopefully sane heads will prevail and we won't have to deal with creating another crisis we don't need or want.
Indeed......, while you attempt to obfuscate the foreign policy mistakes of history Biden has made from Jan 20, 2020 to the present costing hundreds of thousands of lives.
How hypocritical of you.
~~~~~~
Except for the 18 nations of NATO that have failed to meet their obligations until 2024.

Thanks be that Biden stands by our allies.

Additionally, Germany's GDP is greater than that of Greece.
Germany $5 Trillion per annum.
Greece $242 Billion oer annum.
Yet the country of Greece was more capable of meeting their NATO obligations.

I don't know where these figures are coming from but they aren't correct. The US only pays 16 % of the total bill for NATO. England ,Germany and France combined pay 40% and varies with other nations down to Albania which per the GNP pays .2%.Canada pays 7%. trump must have made tese figures up or used them selectively to show a problem exists where none really does. Using selective figures does not give the big picture.
