I'm criticizing that Trump took us to war without a consensus. Maybe it was a good idea, maybe it wasn't. But it wasn't an impending threat, no emergency. Trump could have made the case to the American people. He didn't even try.

The one thing I was willing to give Trump credit for, during is first term, is that he didn't get us into any wars. But I never trusted him on that, and assumed the only reason he hadn't is because the opportunity never presented itself. Or that it was never politically expedient.

Trump tried to take us to war twice, in his first term. The only reason his bombing of Syria or Yemen wasn't considered "taking us to war," is because they didn't retaliate. Him bombing Iran now, is the same as him bombing those other two countries.
