Trump blinks

Because things were going fine. Why start a war that doesn't need to be started.

Don't forget. China isn't the problem. Poor people aren't the problem. Illegals, immigrants, blacks, not the problem. Globalists, deep state, it's all bullshit. The 13 plus billionaires working for Trump are those deep state globalists. RINO's.

And when unions try to strike on their watch, you will see how much they love and respect American workers.

I'm not going to cheer on Trump because I don't believe or buy in for a second. Sounds good though. He's great at diagnosing the problem.
Things were not going fine... man... how much you must ignore to make a statement like that....

So some of Trump's tariffs made sense??? Biden promised to get rid of all of them on the campaign trail....
I think he kept them to show he wasn't a Xi puppet but we all know he was...
Yep. Some made sense. Some didn't. Targeted tariffs on select countries aren't going to cause an economic calamity.

Trump's an idiot for thinking he could get away with massive tariffs on our trading partners.

Another 1 day look ahead from playtwat.

you mean like after donny tanked the market & the so called ' rally up' yersterday?

Leaders have to do what's right.

Check.

Like Trump 1.0 doubling the deficit and overspending by $8 trillion and submitting the largest government spending bill in US history.

Oh, and attempting a coup against our democracy, of course.

Far left protectionism is not good for America. History PROVES this.

This is just Trump being a performative asshole who has a constant, desperate need for attention.

That is ALL he cares about. Not you. Not me. And definitely not America.
/----/ "Trump 1.0 doubling the deficit and overspending by $8 trillion"

Nope, the president can't spend money. Only Congress can.

"and submitting the largest government spending bill in US history."
That he did -- to rebuild the military that Auto Pen Joe decimated. But only Congress can pass that bill. All the president can do is make a recomendation.

What wasn't going well? I know the answer but I want to see if you realize it. And what's Trump going to do to fix it? He already admitted prices aren't coming down. He's full of shit.

AND, wages aren't going to go up. We're already at zero unemployment. Especially after all the illegals self deported. Florida is looking to roll back child labor laws rather than raise wages.

I was hoping uneducated blue collar workers were going to return to the days where they too could live the American dream. Those are the people struggling.

You are listening to people who make over $150,000 a year. I'm so sick of these people complaining and being so out of touch with the people who are struggling. Either you are poor and getting played or you are playing the poor.

From 2019 to 2022, the median net worth of American families jumped 37% to $192,900, after adjusting for inflation. It’s the largest increase ever recorded by the federal Survey of Consumer Finances, released last fall. Surging home values and rising stock ownership fed the surge.

How many of us got promotions or new better jobs after the Great Resignation? If you didn't, that's on you. So how you gonna complain after you got your covid raise? Or a new job that pays $10,000 more than you were making before. If you didn't get either, that's on you bro!

So who are you really trying to MAGA for? Uneducated blue collar workers at Walmart? The dollar store? Factory workers? No you are not. Those factories coming back will be automated.

MARGARET BRENNAN: And you said that robots are going to fill those jobs. So those aren't union worker jobs.

SEC. LUTNICK: No, it's really automated jobs. It's automated factories- automated factories. But the key is, who's going to build the factories? Who's going to operate the factories? Who's going to make them work? Great American workers. You know, we are going to replace--

MARGARET BRENNAN: You said robots on other networks. You said that to FOX.

SEC. LUTNICK: --the armies of millions of people- well, remember, the army of millions and millions of human beings screwing in little- little screws to make iPhones, that kind of thing is going to come to America. It's going to be automated and great Americans- the tradecraft of America, is going to fix them, is going to work on them. They're going to be mechanics. There's going to be HVAC specialists. There's going to be electricians, the tradecraft of America. Our high school educated Americans- the core to our workforce, is going to have the greatest resurgence of jobs in the history of America to work on these high-tech factories, which are all coming to America. That's what's going to build our next generation of America.

/---/ So another fake poll with no indication of how many were democrat or Republican, where 1,407 self-identified registered voters nationwide were surveyed from April 3rd - 7th with a margin of error of +/- 2.6 percentage points. All questions were answered along party lines. Big deal.

Playing CHINA like a fiddle, Now that is funny.
Mr. Trump has steadily ratcheted up the pressure on China. As of Wednesday, his new tariffs on China exceed 100 percent, including a last-minute escalation serving as punishment for Beijing’s retaliation on earlier levies.

However, in contrast to what happened during his first term, Mr. Trump has accompanied the tariff campaign on China with steep import duties on dozens of other countries, including a handful of Asian countries that became popular alternatives in the earlier trade war between Beijing and Washington as a way to circumvent levies and limit supply chain disruptions.

But for some companies, the so-called reciprocal tariffs have had the unexpected effect of making China an even more appealing place to produce in and buy from. It has eliminated some of the motivation to diversify production or sourcing to places like Vietnam, India or other Asian countries.

I get it. You want to hide under the sheets and hope it all magically turns out okay.
