Was it on federal property? If it was, how does a state judge—or even a federal judge—have any say over it? It’s a matter for the federal government to decide. The states do not run the federal government, and neither does the court system. There’s nothing unconstitutional about removing anything the federal government chooses to remove from property that they control. The federal government didn’t ask the court system’s permission before it removed Confederate monuments.
