It is so pathetic to see the fake outrage over this ballroom when not a word was uttered about any Democrat remodeling of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

If you guys want to blast Trump, blast him for still giving money to Ukraine for their oligarchs to steal.

The outrage is that he's defacing a national treasure, and he's so inept that it's unlikely what he wants to add on to it will ever be completed.

You know that prior major renovations were approved and funded by Congress right?

I can see a case for building one, in that for large functions, the White House has had to rent outside halls, which are often problematic for security. (A problem with a gun-obsessed culture where four successful presidential assassinations and dozens of unsuccessful ones have happened.)

But such a project should have undergone massive planning before a single shovel of dirt was turned. Instead, they are still arguing over what it should look like, after they've wrecked the whole east side of the building.
