Trump administration plans to cut over 80,000 employees from Veterans Affairs

I see no way you can cut the VA by 80,000 without affecting veterans services

Trump does not care about our veterans. He thinks they are suckers
Services suck, anyway. The fat needs to be trimmed so, hopefully, services can be improved.

Are vets getting thrown under the bus? Has there been any evidence of large-scale service disruptions yet?
The operative word is “yet”.

Fire 80,000 workers and it will jackass

A person that enlists for one enlistment, has no disability, has not been exposed to identified long term toxic environments (burn pits, etc.), or had not retired does qualify for lifetime medical.

The link to qualifications for VA medical was previously provided.

They qualify now but do not actually deserve lifetime medical

Throwing the deadbeats off VA means better care for more deserving vets

Here we have a potty mouth lib hurling insults

So what else is new?

Almost all of them do when you add up all the exceptions
Bullshit.

And which exceptions to you have a problem with you piece of shit snowflake

Clearly not a Vet… and so ready to throw Vets under the bus
.

This argument comes from one of the cultists who could give a shit about Veterans, and I'm certain did nothing to fight for the rights of homeless Vets when the illegal invaders started sucking up all the resources that should have been supporting them.

I've heard good and bad about the VA.

My best friend lost his right leg and his left up to the knee in Iraq. Physical rehabilitation went well but I think mentally/emotional treatment was lacking. He needed both "wounds" attended to
.

So sorry that your friend has had such difficulty. One thing I agree with is that there may not be adequate advocacy for the Vets who struggle with mental/emotional issues.

It may be important to say that we were lucky because my husband's injury was chemical (similar to the Camp LeJeune injuries) and therefore mostly invisible to an uneducated eye. We had an angel who happened to be a DAV Service officer who simply carried us through the disability application process.

I can't say enough to a disabled Vet that relying on their DAV Service officer is incredibly important. You may want to mention this to your friend. He can go to the appropriate DAV office and ask to be referred to the Service Officer.

Wow!

I hope you have your firearms locked in a safe

And dont drive near trump rallies

You talk as if there are endless funds available fir the VA

15th post
They just need to work for a change. I would have shaved off 160,000 workers. Get off your damn lazy asses.
You know nothing about those workers
A large percentage of those to be fired are veterans, professionals, Republicans

You talk as if Vets don’t deserve the health care they get.

You’re scum

A person that does a single enlistment does not qualify for lifetime medical unless there is a disability or qualified toxic exposure.

Glad you think throwing disabled Vets/Retirees (those that qualify for VA medical care) are "deadbeats".
