In my opinion, there is no such animal as a "true conservative." It is a subjective partisan term. It isn't a one size fits all ideology.

no, it's my assumption based on being on this board where more than half on here disagree before reading what they're disagreeing with.

You assumed wrong of me. I have read that blog article before. You aren't the first person to post it.

The author of the material based his polarized hypothesis on a logical fallacy. I don't consider that sound reasoning.

It wasnt a bad article, although tough to take seriously when there's an egregious misspelling in the heading.
Were the Founders classical liberals? Most would say yes. And yet they had no problem allowing states to set religious qualifications, to own slaves, to set community standards for censorship and behavior etc.
And they justified this by appeals to the idea of a society that was somehow different from the collection of individuals. They were not libertarians (I didnt read far enough to see if he mentioned libertarians).

As is so often the case, your author is a child. No one takes anything a child says seriously, because, while it may be cute that such wants to present themselves as something with the potential to more than a child... they are, in fact, children; thus their perspective is that of the child.

His understanding of Left-think is correct for the most part... but he is infected with the false premises that are intrinsic with such.

Conservatives believe in moral certainties... and one of those moral certainties is that where one encourages the abnormal, immoral behavior... one will realize more immoral behavior... with the only potential being that the level of abnormality will escalate consistant with the acceptance.

Homosexuality is taboo for the sound reasons that thousands of years of human experience have demonstrated that such is to be avoided... from the incontestable health issues, to the degeneracy of the culture and so on.

That children disagree is irrelevant...

They're children... they're idiots . And my advice to such children is to shut the fuck up and speak only when you're spoken to... No one cares what you think and that's because you do so little of it, that you simply suck at it.

And this from as true a conservative as God has ever placed on this earth...

Liberalism is the antithesis of socialism. Jake Starkey is equally a moron if he thinks that conservatism favors business over labor and this is somehow a denial of natural rights (whatever those are).
