Travelers Wear Pajamas to the Airport to Protest Request

The Transportation Secretary asked people to take some pride in their appearance and not dress like slobs when they fly. In response, the low human capital of America decided to dress themselves up as trailer trash and look like even bigger slobs in public.

Boy, they sure owned him....

Fly private or charter and fly naked, you cheap bastards.
The TSA should pass out participation trophies to the folks in pajamas.

Common sense is making yourself comfortable for a long flight.

No one needs to look like a Russian mobster to be comfortable.

Wearing athletic clothes when you're not participating in athletics is like a nun wearing a corset and garter belts.

It might feel good, but ultimately not appropriate

I am just amazed at how people dress in public, and it's not just in airports. I see young people, mostly women wearing their PJs or skin tights in the grocery store. It speaks to a general decline in respect and self-esteem. Yes, I'm old school so all of you slobs GIT OFF MY LAWN!!!!

It was not just flying, people generally dressed better for everything.
Also, flying was kinda limited to upscale folks.
So different than today savages...

Remember, we're talking about the same imbeciles who dutifully donned useless face diapers, followed arrows on grocery store floors, and dashed out to get jabbed with an experimental clot shot, over a flu bug.

But NOW they're all righteously rebellious to authority?

Plus, if airlines aren’t going to bother to make seats that fit the average person, why should I jump through hoops for them?
Flying is now literally painful for me. Overcrowded, small cramped space, seats designed to hurt before you have left the gate. Delayed causing you to miss flights. Its a literal nightmare.

Its something that the tour buses we rode in during the last vacation were so much better.

Get on out there and look like a big piece of trash in public. Take no pride for your appearance. Have no self-respect whatsoever. Look repulsive to your fellow passengers and stick it to the man, baby.

South Park logic.
Yes, you should wear a dress shirt with pocket square, a tie, a suit, polished dress shoes, and never leave your house without a hat!

That is actually a complaint I have never understood unless "the average person" means someone who is 300 plus pounds. I am 5' 11" and weigh around 190 and I have never had a problem with economy 17" seats on 32" pitch. We usually buy the bulkhead seats that have slightly more leg room though just because they are first row economy and it doesn't take forever to get off the plane. I've sat in the back enough times that I know that if they don't open that rear door and unload from both ends, it takes 4-ever to exit the plane.

Nonsense. My stepfather fits, barely. He is a "towering" 5'7". My mother fits perfectly...all 5' of her. Stepfather's 6'4" coworker had to be CARRIED off a plane, after spending 5+ hours completely unable to move his legs. (It's a minor miracle he didn't have a blood clot!)

There isn’t enough room for my shoulders in economy. It isn’t just about being obese. The seats are ridiculously small and narrow.

Yes. And they are getting smaller. Add in the security theatre and it's the main reason I won't fly.

a 17 inch seat is wide enough for someone with a 36" waist so unless your relatives have very wide hips, it is plenty of room.

Or broad shoulders. Or an inseam greater than 28".
Perhaps you all need to find a better airline. or sit up straight. I have a 34" inseam and have zero problems

You're just lying.
I am not the one pretending that someone was carried off a plane on a stretcher because of the seats when millions of people fly every day without incident. Lose some weight or stay at home. I don't care which.

I could care less what others wear on a flight. Loose fitting athletic clothing is the best. Suit and tie looks bad and feels worse.

I'll give you a billion billion dollars if you can show where I said anything about a stretcher. Weight had nothing to do with it, its HEIGHT.
