Travelers Wear Pajamas to the Airport to Protest Request

Next thing you know, women are going to be wearing pants.

And we don't even have to go back to business attire. Just don't dress like trash. Wear pants or comfortable jeans and a decent looking shirt. It's not that hard. It's disgusting to me the way Americans have such little self respect in public.
Some people dress the way they do on flights in an attempt to breeze through security without getting felt up. Those newer machines can be a bit fickle. I always get pulled because my crotch, without fail, throws a big red X on the screen.

The Transportation Secretary asked people to take some pride in their appearance and not dress like slobs when they fly. In response, the low human capital of America decided to dress themselves up as trailer trash and look like even bigger slobs in public.

Boy, they sure owned him....

Oh? They didn't "own" anyone. They just proved they're lazy assholes.

I never understand why people sometimes don't take pride in themselves.

It's not the government issuing a command, it's just the adult thing to do.
The government never made a command. It was more like a gentle reminder. I remember when men wore a tie on a picnic. If people want to look ridiculous to make a point, it's up to them, all we can do is point and laugh.

Plus, if airlines aren’t going to bother to make seats that fit the average person, why should I jump through hoops for them?
That is actually a complaint I have never understood unless "the average person" means someone who is 300 plus pounds. I am 5' 11" and weigh around 190 and I have never had a problem with economy 17" seats on 32" pitch. We usually buy the bulkhead seats that have slightly more leg room though just because they are first row economy and it doesn't take forever to get off the plane. I've sat in the back enough times that I know that if they don't open that rear door and unload from both ends, it takes 4-ever to exit the plane.

I mean, you aren't wrong, but is it too much to ask not to stress like a slob?

What a bunch of babies. 'Daddy' tells them to shape up and they display their defiance syndrome. Nasty, low IQ, pinheads.

Sucks I suppose that American's have freedoms and aren't a big fan of big government preaching to them.

That’s what governments do … they preach. They can preach taking pride in your appearance, inclusiveness for the violently mentally ill, or the virtues of an insect-based diet. It’s all preaching.

A suggestion that people take pride in their appearance may be a few decades too late, but if it doesn’t come with legislation it’s simply preaching.

There isn’t enough room for my shoulders in economy. It isn’t just about being obese. The seats are ridiculously small and narrow
