The jury can't decide a case after hearing the prosecutor's opening statement. It is one-sided.

Hopefully, there will be a hearing before Congress at which the case can be made.

Trump's lawyers make all sorts of wild claims out of court, but they don't say those things in court because if they do, they could face sanctions including losing their law licenses.
