That has nothing to do with Shokin. The crimes which launched a couple of investigations occurred years before they hired Hunter. One investigation was opened by England. Shokin helped Zlochevsky, the owner of Burisma Holdings, evade prosecution in that case.

Savvy? Shokin was corrupt and helped a corrupt business owner.

So Shokin wasn't interested in going after Burisma. He then spent another year after aiding Zlochevsky by not actively investigating Burisma.

It would have been better for Hunter Biden to leave Shokin in place since he was helping Zlochevsky.

Ukraine had separated from Russia and since that time, worked to weed out corruption in order to get aid from other countries. Shokin was known to be corrupt and to be in charge of a corrupt office. Still, Poroshenko, who was friends with Shokin, was resisting calls from multiple countries, including Ukraine, to force him out. Biden got that job done.

Because Congress allocates the funds to be accessible to the Executive branch. It was the Obama administration who decided to make the aid contingent upon Shokin's removal. The VP has no authority to do that without the president's approval, which Biden acknowledged in his discussion with Poroshenko.

Obama administration that you said didn’t give money to corrupt govts. Except Ukraine that is since Hunter was taking money from them. But that’s just a coincidence. OK

That's as of a week and a half ago. They had almost a year leading up to that where the polls were neck and neck and they didn't impeach him.

There's nothing there.

Not to mention, impeaching him now doesn't hurt Trump's chance of winning, so that's a piss poor explanation anyway.
