To fix our country, we need a strong leader willing to break the rules?

The government should create the climate for these to grow. No need to micromanage. It's easier to succeed in an orderly society. We have so many failures because the government doesn't keep order. In fact, the government itself is in a perpetual state of disorder.

Woodznutz, president Trump prefers more authoritarian types of government. He indicates preference for authoritarian styles of the Nazi or the People's Republic of China' governments. Rather than upholding and defending our constitution and our laws, he apparently believes our nation's purpose and reputation is better enhanced by displaying and parading our troops and their hardware.

You're correct. Democracies are messy. There are so many different opinions and nuances to be considered, so many individual interests. As Chuchill said, "Democracy the worst form of Government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time”. Respectfully, Supposn

The “version” we operated by from 1776 to 1985 when the nation was great, exceptional, likeminded, prosperous and united?
I remember back in 1985 there were A LOT of Americans of different colors, races, religions, and points of view. Our nation was as great as it is now. And YOU were still a loser.

It’s really not difficult to understand if you have the nutsack to understand it…ANY community, city, state or nation with a Caucasian population of less than 75% is a total shithole. What was the Caucasian population in 1985?

Well, that sounds like the Democrat Party as during their time, they repeatedly tried to usurp the Constitution and its Bill of Rights.
LuckyDuck01, presidents on some occasions have attempted to navigate “around the law”or urged congress to change the laws, but prior to president Trump, no president's administration has ever challenged the legal function of our federal courts as THE FINAL INTERPETERS of how those laws and our constitution are applied in USA courts. The U.S. Supreme court is our federal courts' final appellate supreme court in all cases brought before them.

Until the courts say otherwise, federal courts'decisions and orders are the existing law of our land.

No, the original rules on immigration were that this land were:

{...
"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
...}

There were no immigration restrictions until around 1920, and clearly the conflict with basic principles.
Which are that eveyone here in the USA, is the descendant of an illegal immigrant except the natives.
And it it the natives that ICE is arresting and deporting.

Those weren't the rules.

You're lying again.

I am a slum landlord and can tell you the system is totally rigged against the poor people who are not allowed any opportunity.
They have to pay rent to me that is greater than the mortgage payments, so they essentially buy houses for me.
And on top of that, I get to write off things like depreciation on my taxes, while they do not get to write of their cost of doing business when they have to pay rent.

I can easily get mortgages, while my tenants can't, especially if they are not white.
I can be an independent contractor, while those who need factories to be able to work, have to take whatever they wealthy factory owner decides to pay them.

They have to pay rent to me that is greater than the mortgage payments, so they essentially buy houses for me.

You should give those houses to them. Property is theft.

And on top of that, I get to write off things like depreciation on my taxes,

How else would you calculate your taxable income?

while they do not get to write of their cost of doing business

Because they aren't "doing business".

I can easily get mortgages, while my tenants can't, especially if they are not white.

You should give those houses to them. Property is theft. And racist, obviously.

I hate to break it to you, but judges don't make the law. They judge cases brought before them. The judges interfering with the "Executive Branch" were "District" Judges and have no authority outside their district, hence that they keep losing the cases.
The entire purpose of the district judges sticking their noses in Executive Branch matters is just to try and interfere with the LEGAL proceedings being implemented against criminal "illegal" migrants. Also, whether illegal migrants can be extradited is up to "IMMIGRATION COURTS," not district courts. That's federal due process for illegals.

Biden was a much stronger leader than Trump.

Trump is the weakest American President in my lifetime. The man has no ability to lead whatsoever. Threats and bullying is the antithesis of leadership.

The world is leaving you behind. We're moving to a different model with democratic leadership and political stability. The USA is no longer that country.

Biden was a much stronger leader than Trump.

Biden did defeat Medicare.

The parade was a small celebration of the history of our army. We didn't give anything away to our foes. Regarding authoritarianism, no one wielded it like Lyndon Johnson. Not electing Barry Goldwater was one of the biggest mistakes Americans ever made at the polls.

Bury Marbury in the Deep State's Deepest Hole

The SCROTUS usurped all power when it claimed for itself Judicial Review. Allowing it to continue its dictatorship goes against both a democracy and a republic.

Don't ever believe in the political "science" of the ruling class. JR is praised only because it puts us, the people, in the place the rulers believe we belong in.

Uncle Sam will 'recapture' what you claimed as depreciation. Mainly because your property (real estate) doesn't depreciate. However, you can depreciate or expense most all other costs.

Woodznutz, as any real estate professional could tell you, real estate candepreciate. Among the most important considerations when evaluatingreal estate, is location, location, and location.
The locationdoesn't change, but the prices and values of real estate in thoselocations are subject to change. Certainly the buildings within thoselocations are subject to depreciation. If land owners' accountants' properly filled out the tax forms, the IRS allows landowners to receive and retain their fully legal tax credits. Respectfully Supposn

Most real estate appreciates even if it falls into disrepair. When sold the IRS recaptures what you saved in taxes by depreciating the property by taxing the amount that you depreciated it by as ordinary income. And, if you are in a higher tax bracket when you sell you will pay more in taxes than you saved by depreciating the property.

Are you sure?

  • The IRS requires you to "recapture" the amount of depreciation you previously deducted.
  • This recapture is taxed at a maximum rate of 25%, unlike other capital gains that are taxed at lower rates (0%, 15%, or 20% depending on your income).
  • The recaptured depreciation is essentially treated as ordinary income up to the amount of gain from the sale.

The term 'recapture' is misleading. It is the government that recaptures revenue lost through depreciation.
