Tn. vs EOs

I am for this kind of legislation as well. Call it a shield against idiocy. Just look at how numerous democrat mayors and governors openly defied the Trump Administration and formed sanctuary states and cities.

Executive Orders by the POTUS do not apply directly to the states. They only apply to the federal departments under Presidential control or as delegated by Congress. Now if that EO manifests itself in some down the food chain funding matter, as it often does, the states either have to turn down the money, litigate it, or comply with the federal funding requirements. There is nothing else they can do.

You mean, here in Tennessee, some doofus in east Tennessee wants the state to have the right to fight an executive order of a president, just like every other state in the United States has and has done at one time or another under every president we have ever had? Boy they are really on the ball in Mount Juliet and Strawberry Plains.
