That's also the James Bond question isn't it? How many times does SMERCH have Bond on a table with some elaborate method of doing away with him when they could have put a bullet in his head?
Batman is supposedly a detective, 007 is contrived, formulatic nonsense.

Huh?
What did you not understand?
Batman was billed on the comic book cover as The World's Greatest Detective.
James Bond is pure non-sensical, flowcharted bullshit.

If Batman stands for justice , then he cannot kill the guy or he becomes no different that the criminals. He can play the fear card but murder is a crime unless the state does it then it's legal.
If The Joker commits murder in NYC he can run for mayor.

Something tells me that somewhere in comic book history the Joker has unleased a deadly virus of some kind......does anyone know?
In The Joker's first appearance, he uses a virus to turn Batman into a Bleeding Heart Liberal when Batman looks at The Joker.

Well as Mr T would say maybe he pity's the fool

I believe they got George Lazenby because he ne never appear as bond after doing one mission.

So.....the show "Titans," on HBOMax is better than I expected. Still don't like the 70s street hooker look of Starfire in the first season......but...

SPOILERS......

So, at the end of the first season, Dick Grayson, the first Robin, is in a fantasy world. In this world, the Joker kidnapped Commissioner Gordon, tortured him for a week then murdered him. Barbara Gordon is missing. Jason Todd, the second Robin, has been paralyzed by the Riddler, and the Gotham police are more corrupt and evil than when Batman began his fight...

So...the Joker is responsible for countless deaths....he is a mass murderer. Also, the authorities can't keep him in custody for even short periods of time......they can't catch him, they can't hold him. The Batman can catch him...which he does over and over again.....and then he escapes, murders countless numbers of new people and gets captured again...

In the fantasy world that Dick Grayson is captured in, he goes to Gotham to try to convince Batman not to kill the Joker....Jason Todd has warned Grayson that Batman is finally going to kill the Joker.....

Why shouldn't Batman finally put an end to the mass murderer, the Joker?
Why doesn't he kill the Joker????

BECAUSE HE'S BATMAN!!!!!!
