1) The Arabs could be considered just as much a "Semitic" people as the Jews

The problem here is that the number of haters is growing exponentially and the number willing to stand up against the hate shrinking just as rapidly. They use intimidating tactics to ensure the spread of their hatred and at some point, a tipping point will be reached (if it hasn't already) where the costs associated with defending against the hate simply become too great for otherwise decent people to endure.

The problem are those trying to address hate with more hate Dog, the label everyone a 'hater' expecting a defensive response from them.

No one is required to support Israel or the Jewish people. Or any particular category of people. However, simply not providing support, caring one way or another, or even refusing to declare support for Israel does not make a person an antisemite.
