Time to drop a brick of epistemology on a table full of vibes. - Climate change

I laid the whole scam out in #762. It's nothing but a Marxist swindle with American taxpayers on the hook. "Scientists" depending on leftwing government to get them grants to keep cranking out their fake science. This is a twofer. Scam the taxpayers while holding American progress back so that China might surpass us.
Prove me wrong.
Pretty sure I addressed this point of view. Have any specific, falsifiable claims?

I don't think you understand what a falsifiable claim is.
A falsifiable claim is one that can be observed, tested, and proved to be false. For the last 40 years or so, the GW/CC alarmists have made numerous claims that turned out to be false. Ice-free Arctic ocean, Florida under water, etc. Such claims were falsifiable then as they are now. Should we be spending billions on falsifiable claims and questionable solutions at a time when our national debt is going crazy?

IMHO, that does not mean that GW/CC isn't affected by anthropogenic causes, but the question is by how much AND what we can do about it. Anybody who claims to know the answers to those questions is lying, or at best misinformed. Sadly, the issue has been heavily politicized, and truth takes a back seat to power and greed.

A falsifiable claim is simply one that can be tested and proven to be true or false. It doesn't necessarily mean it's false, like the other poster implied. It just means it's something specific that can be tested scientifically.

How much and what we can do are still studied and debated by scientists. There's no consensus on that, just that it's happening to some extent due to human activity. The doomsday people are just the loudest, and the media loves covering a crisis perspective over a more moderate one because the former gets more attention. People like Al Gore (NOT a scientist or truly qualified to speak on the issue by the way) are the worst thing that ever happened to climate science. They made it political when it shouldn't be and damaged the credibility of the field with alarmist views that didn't materialize in reality.

If you're not contesting that humans play some role then we don't have a scientific disagreement. I don't have a policy position on the issue. I don't find it unreasonable to not want to pour trillions of dollars into green energy that's not yet efficient enough to replace fossil fuels.
